Baltic introduced the Tricompax Panda and Reverse Panda chronographs in 2022. The same dial designs appear in Baltic’s current catalog under the name Scalegraph Classic; the current collection lists both versions from €1,585. That is the displayed collection price, not a guaranteed checkout total. The historical Tricompax and current Scalegraph Classic names refer to the related Panda and Reverse Panda offerings, but the available specifications do not establish that every detail is identical across editions.
What are the Baltic Tricompax Panda and Reverse Panda?
They are three-register chronographs with a motorsport-inspired design. Baltic framed the 2022 Tricompax around the golden age of motor racing, including a tachymeter bezel designed to measure speeds up to 200 km/h. The Peter Auto edition was a 300-piece limited release sold in August 2022; its dial was light beige with black guilloche subdials.
In November 2022, Fratello introduced the Panda and Reverse Panda as regular-production versions of the Tricompax. Baltic’s current catalog uses the Scalegraph Classic name for the two dial variants. The 2022 Peter Auto limited edition is a distinct historical release, so its specific finishes and configuration should not be assumed to describe every current Scalegraph Classic.
What is the difference between Panda and Reverse Panda?
A Panda dial uses a lighter main dial with darker contrasting subdials; a Reverse Panda reverses that light-and-dark arrangement. The contrast gives the two watches noticeably different appearances, while both follow the same three-register chronograph layout.

Fratello’s reviewer preferred the Panda for legibility, but that is a subjective preference rather than a measured difference. When choosing, compare how easily you read the main dial and counters, which contrast you prefer, and the strap or bracelet configuration available with the specific watch.
How does the chronograph work?
Fratello identifies the regular-production Tricompax’s three registers as running seconds at 9 o’clock, the chronograph minute counter at 3, and the hour counter at 6. The bezel carries a tachymeter scale, a tool for estimating speed over a known distance; Baltic says the Peter Auto edition’s scale is designed for readings up to 200 km/h.

One detail distinguishes the scale’s first quarter: Fratello notes that it uses markings from 60 to 75 seconds rather than the more familiar 1 to 15. The Peter Auto edition also used orange accents for seconds and minute timing, and yellow for the hour register.
Movement and specifications
Baltic’s archived specification for the Peter Auto Tricompax names a hand-wound Sellita SW510-M movement, with a 63-hour power reserve and stop seconds. Stop seconds halt the small seconds hand when the crown is pulled, allowing the time to be set more precisely. Fratello reported the same movement and reserve for the regular-production Tricompax introduced in 2022.

The dimensions above are published specifications for the historical editions, not a guarantee that every current Scalegraph Classic detail is unchanged. The 39.5 mm diameter and 47 mm lug-to-lug measurement give useful context for wrist fit; the 13.5 mm thickness includes the domed glass.
Dial, case and wearing options
The archived Peter Auto edition paired a light beige matte dial with black guilloche subdials, applied indexes, and Dauphine hands treated with Super-Luminova BGW9. It had a steel case, an aluminum tachymeter bezel, and a double-domed sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating. Its individual pieces were numbered 1 to 300.

Fratello reported that regular-production Tricompax examples were offered on a gray leather strap or a steel flat-link bracelet, with a 20 mm lug width. Baltic’s archive lists bracelet and taupe calf-leather options for the Peter Auto edition. Configurations can vary by edition and period, so check the exact current listing before assuming a particular strap or bracelet is included.

For historical context, Fratello reported 2022 launch prices of €1,585 on leather and €1,645 on bracelet, both excluding VAT; pre-orders were announced to start December 1, 2022, with first deliveries planned for April 2023. A Japanese retailer later announced a ¥308,000 price for sales in Japan in October 2023. These are dated launch or regional figures, not current universal prices.
