What makes the Sapphire White different?
The Sapphire White is a specific version of Bianchet’s B1.618 Grande Date. Its case is made from sapphire crystal, so the open-worked movement can be seen through the case as well as from the dial side. The skeletonized large-date display leaves more of the mechanism visible than a conventional solid dial would.
Bianchet describes the case as carved entirely from sapphire crystal. Its product page lists glare-proof sapphire crystals on the bezel and back, with a Grade 5 titanium crown. The result is a watch whose transparency is central to its design, rather than a decorative window limited to the case back.
Movement and Grande Date display
Bianchet specifies a manually wound movement with a Grande Date complication and a 60-second flying tourbillon. The brand lists 188 components, 20 jewels and a 90-hour power reserve with a stated tolerance of +/-5%. These are manufacturer specifications, not independently verified performance results.

The main plate, bridges and tourbillon cage are specified as Grade 5 titanium. Bianchet says the movement receives 30 hours of hand finishing. The flying tourbillon and open construction are visible through the sapphire case, making the movement architecture part of the watch’s presentation.

Straps, warranty and authenticity
Bianchet says the watch is supplied with two vulcanized rubber straps and a quick-release system. The model-specific sheet describes a natural vulcanized rubber strap with a Grade 5 titanium folding clasp. Bianchet also states that its watches have a five-year international warranty from delivery covering manufacturing and mechanical defects.
The brand says the watch’s authenticity is recorded on the Polygon public blockchain. That is Bianchet’s own authenticity statement; it does not replace the purchase documentation or warranty terms supplied by the brand.

Price and reservation
Bianchet’s official pages show two different prices for the Grande Date Sapphire White. The model page displays 90,500 CHF excluding taxes and says a reservation requires a 10% deposit. The Grande Date collection page displays 85,500 CHF excluding taxes. Both figures were shown on Bianchet’s pages accessed on October 8, 2026; the pages do not explain the difference. Confirm the current price and reservation terms with Bianchet before placing an order.
Who is this edition for?
The Sapphire White is most distinctive for someone who wants the movement and date mechanism to remain visible from multiple angles, and who values a sapphire case as a defining design feature.
