What is the Bremont Terra Nova 38 Jumping Hour Stealth Black?
It is a dark-finished version of Bremont’s Terra Nova Jumping Hour, built around a cushion-shaped case and a digital-style display. Rather than using central hour and minute hands, it shows the hour through a window at 12 and the minutes through a window at 6; a central hand marks small seconds. Bremont calls this arrangement a “montre à guichet,” or watch with a window. Bremont’s feature page describes the Stealth Black as an all-black treatment of the design.
The case is made from 904L steel with a black diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating. Bremont says the coating enhances scratch resistance and corrosion protection; those are manufacturer claims, not independently tested results. The watch has three sapphire crystals over its display windows, according to Bremont’s specifications. The leather-strap product listing gives the case dimensions as 38mm in diameter, 44mm in length, 9.1mm deep, and 20mm between the lugs. Those measurements describe the case, not a guarantee of fit on a particular wrist.
How does the jumping-hour display work?
The hour appears on a rotating disc behind its own aperture. At the change of the hour, that disc advances to the next numeral, while the minute display and small-seconds hand provide the other time indications. Bremont says the BC634AH calibre changes the hour disc in under one tenth of a second. That is the manufacturer’s description of the mechanism, rather than an independent timing test. Bremont’s listing specifies 29 jewels, a frequency of 28,800 beats per hour (4 Hz), and a 56-hour power reserve; it describes the central seconds hand as compass-inspired.

How much does it cost, and what are the two configurations?
Bremont’s US storefront listed the two versions below on 8 October 2026. The listed prices are time-sensitive, so check the product page for current pricing and availability.

The two listings specify the same case and movement. The $450 difference buys the bracelet configuration instead of the leather bund configuration; choose based on your strap preference and the all-metal look, rather than assuming one wears better. No hands-on comfort comparison is available here. Bremont’s bracelet listing identifies the bracelet as quick-release and specifies a butterfly clasp.

Can you remove the bund strap?
Yes. Bremont says the bund pad is removable, leaving a more conventional black calf leather strap. The product page uses the wording “The bund pad is removeable for a more traditional strap profile.” The change is specifically the removal of the pad; it does not turn the leather configuration into the steel-bracelet version. Bremont’s product listing provides the strap details.
Is 30 metres of water resistance suitable for swimming?
Bremont rates both configurations at 3 ATM / 30 metres. That is the published specification, not a swimming or diving recommendation. The available product information does not establish suitability for swimming, so do not treat the watch as a dive watch or infer a specific water-use allowance from the depth figure alone. What does the Stealth Black edition add?
The main change is visual: black DLC coating over the 904L steel case, with a matching bracelet available as one configuration. Bremont’s launch video, published on 12 February 2026, introduces it as an all-black version. The company also says the Terra Nova Jumping Hour design was named WatchPro UK’s Trend Watch of the Year 2025; that award recognition is Bremont’s statement, and the original award record has not been independently verified.
