Their shared openworked styling and 80-hour stated power reserve frame two distinct propositions: a second-time-zone display in a sport-focused titanium-and-ceramic design, or a precious-metal case and tachymeter bezel.
What TAG Heuer announced
The brand’s official magazine presented two models: the Carrera Chronograph Extreme Sport Twin-Time, reference CBU2084.FT6297, and a rose-gold Carrera Chronograph Extreme Sport, reference CBU2051.FT6273. Both measure 44 mm, use in-house automatic movements and have openworked dials. TAG Heuer states an 80-hour power reserve for each movement.

The Twin-Time adds a GMT hand for tracking a second time zone alongside its chronograph. The rose-gold watch is a chronograph without the GMT function. These are the two watches in TAG Heuer’s announcement; a separate F1 75th Anniversary tourbillon is not one of them.
How the two editions differ
| Model | Reference | Movement and function | Case and bezel | Dial and strap | Reported launch-era price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Carrera Chronograph Extreme Sport Twin-Time | CBU2084.FT6297 | TH20-02; automatic GMT chronograph; second-time-zone display; 80-hour reserve stated by TAG Heuer | 44 mm Grade 2 titanium case; two-tone ceramic bezel made from one block of dual-coloured ceramic | Openworked dial with teal details; integrated rubber strap with teal accent | CHF 8,850, reported by Monochrome Watches in 2025; not a verified current or regional price |
| Carrera Chronograph Extreme Sport in 18K 5N rose gold | CBU2051.FT6273 | TH20-00; automatic chronograph; 80-hour reserve stated by TAG Heuer | 44 mm solid 18K 5N rose-gold case and tachymeter bezel | Openworked dial; integrated black rubber strap | CHF 21,500, reported by Monochrome Watches in 2025; not a verified current or regional price |
Monochrome Watches also reports 100 m water resistance for both watches. It lists a 16.7 mm thickness and a fixed 24-hour bezel for the Twin-Time. Those details are independent reporting; TAG Heuer’s announcement is the source for the design, movements and stated power reserves.

The titanium Twin-Time: GMT plus chronograph
The Twin-Time is the more functionally differentiated of the pair. Its red-tipped GMT hand indicates a second time zone, while the chronograph provides elapsed-time measurement. The 24-hour fixed bezel reported by Monochrome Watches supports reading the GMT hand against a full-day scale.
Grade 2 titanium and a two-tone ceramic bezel set it apart from the precious-metal edition. Teal details carry through to the integrated rubber strap, giving the openworked dial a coordinated accent. TAG Heuer identifies the movement as the TH20-02 and states an 80-hour power reserve.

The rose-gold chronograph: precious metal, no GMT hand
The second model keeps the Extreme Sport chronograph format but changes the emphasis to material. TAG Heuer describes a solid 18K 5N rose-gold case, and the tachymeter bezel is also rose gold. An openworked dial and integrated black rubber strap contrast with the warm-colored metal.
Inside is the TH20-00 automatic chronograph, with an 80-hour power reserve stated by TAG Heuer. Unlike the Twin-Time, it is not described as having a GMT function or second-time-zone display.

What the reported prices do—and do not—tell you
Monochrome Watches reported launch-era prices of CHF 8,850 for the titanium Twin-Time and CHF 21,500 for the rose-gold chronograph in 2025. These are dated CHF figures, not confirmed current prices, regional MSRP, or live retail offers. Availability and pricing can vary by market and over time; check the exact reference with TAG Heuer or an authorized seller before making a purchase decision.
The price difference accompanies a clear material distinction—titanium and ceramic versus solid 18K 5N rose gold—but the published figures alone do not establish comparative value, comfort, accuracy or real-world performance. Neither cited source reports hands-on comparative testing.

A separate Extreme Sport tourbillon
Monochrome Watches’ same-day coverage also discusses the Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon Extreme Sport F1 75th Anniversary, reference CBU5051.FT6272. It is a separate model, not a third watch in TAG Heuer’s two-model announcement. Monochrome reports a Grade 2 titanium case, an 18K 3N yellow-gold tachymeter bezel, a TH20-09 tourbillon chronograph, a 65-hour power reserve, a CHF 39,000 price and a 75-piece limit. Those price and production figures apply only to that tourbillon variant.
