Bremont’s Terra Nova is a mechanical field-watch collection inspired by early 20th-century military pocket watches. Bremont’s US collection page lists 38mm, 40.5mm and 42.5mm models, with date, turning-bezel power-reserve and chronograph configurations, alongside steel and bronze options. Displayed US prices range from $3,050 to $6,550, depending on model and configuration.
What defines the Terra Nova collection?
Bremont describes the collection as a contemporary take on early 20th-century military pocket watches. That is the brand’s stated design inspiration; it does not establish that Terra Nova watches were military-issued or meet a military specification. The visual cues include a geometrical cushion-shaped case, oversized luminous numerals and a mix of brushed and polished surfaces. Steel models use 904L stainless steel, according to Bremont’s collection and product descriptions.
Bremont also specifies full-block Super-LumiNova numerals and an anti-reflective sapphire crystal on listed models. These are manufacturer-stated features, not independent findings about legibility or performance. Bremont’s Terra Nova collection page and its Terra Nova 38 product page describe the collection’s design.
How the sizes and complications differ
The collection page groups its watches by case size and function. The complication is a useful first filter: choose between straightforward time-and-date display, a turning bezel with a power-reserve indication, or chronograph timing. Material, movement details and strap options vary by reference.

What the 40.5 Date’s specifications tell you
Bremont’s product page identifies the 40.5 Date’s movement as a modified Calibre 11 1/2”’ BE-36AE automatic with 26 jewels and a 38-hour power reserve. The dial places the date at 3 o’clock alongside central hour, minute and seconds hands.

- VH31 SWEEP QUARTZ WITH SAPPHIRE CRYSTAL: Powered by a VH31 quartz movement, this ML07 variation delivers smooth sweep-style seconds motion with dependable, low-maintenance operation. Its high-domed sapphire crystal with clear AR coating adds strong scratch resistance and a pronounced vintage profile while supporting a clear view of the dial.
- SUPER C3 GREEN LUME FOR CLEAR READING: Super C3 luminous material is applied to key dial elements to support quick time reading after exposure to light. The green glow complements the bold Arabic numerals and 12/24-hour field layout without changing the restrained vintage character of the dial, making the display easy to follow during changing light conditions.
- 100M WATER RESISTANCE WITH PUSH-PULL CROWN: The ML07 is rated to 100M for added confidence around handwashing, rain and routine daily water exposure. Its push-pull crown allows straightforward time setting while preserving the compact case profile. Press the crown fully into place before water contact, and do not operate it while wet or submerged.
- COMPACT 36MM PROPORTIONS: The case measures 36mm in diameter without the crown, 43.75mm lug to lug and 10.1mm thick including the high-domed crystal, with an 18mm lug width. These compact dimensions give the ML07 a balanced vintage wrist presence while keeping the Arabic numerals and inner 12/24-hour scale clear and easy to read.
- SANDBLASTED 316L STEEL FIELD-WATCH DESIGN: The low-reflection case finish, compact profile and high-domed crystal give the ML07 the restrained character of a vintage field watch. Its clear dial remains practical for everyday wear, while the versatile 18mm lug width makes it easy to pair with a wide range of compatible straps.
- Case: two-piece stainless steel, 40.5mm in diameter, 47mm long and 11.11mm deep.
- Fit: 22mm lug width and a push-in crown.
- Crystal and dial: domed, anti-reflective, scratch-resistant sapphire; gradient anthracite and black dial; green-emission vintage Super-LumiNova block numerals and hands.
- Water resistance: 10 ATM, or 100 metres, as stated by Bremont.
- Listed configuration: brown leather strap.
All figures above are Bremont’s published specifications for this specific reference, accessed in 2026; they are not independent test results. The 22mm lug width, in particular, should not be generalized to other Terra Nova models.

How to compare Terra Nova references
- Start with diameter: the collection spans 38mm, 40.5mm and 42.5mm. Diameter alone does not describe how a watch wears; the 40.5 Date’s listed case length is 47mm, while equivalent length figures should be checked on the other product pages.
- Match the function to your use: the Date adds a calendar display, the Power Reserve combines its namesake indication with a turning bezel, and the Chronograph provides timing functions.
- Compare materials and editions: Bremont lists 904L steel and cupro-aluminium bronze options. Some versions are limited editions, including the 100-piece bronze Power Reserve and the 150-piece Henley Royal Regatta Chronograph.
- Compare like with like: leather, NATO or woven-fabric straps and quick-release 904L bracelets are offered on some references. Match the exact model and configuration when comparing prices, and verify lug width and attachment before buying a third-party strap.
- Check movement and reserve by reference: published figures include 38 hours for the Terra Nova 38 and 40.5 Date, and 56 hours for the 42.5 Chronograph. Do not assume those values apply to the Power Reserve or other variants.
