All measure 43.6 mm across, but they differ in movement, dial color and reference. Here is how the three releases compare, based on Blancpain’s published specifications.
The three new Bathyscaphe references

These references and descriptions come from Blancpain’s November 2024 announcement. The shared case material is black high-tech ceramic. Blancpain lists sail-canvas and NATO straps, as well as a ceramic bracelet, among the lineup’s wearing options; check the exact reference and configuration to confirm which is supplied with a particular watch.
What distinguishes the chronograph from the date models?
The two references beginning with 5000 are three-hand watches with a date window and use Calibre 1315. The 5200 0140 01S adds a flyback chronograph and uses Calibre F385. The flyback function lets the wearer reset and restart the chronograph in one operation, rather than stopping it first; the release identifies the complication and calibre but does not provide comparative performance figures here.
Shared case and diving specifications
Blancpain specifies a 43.6 mm diameter for all three ceramic additions, a unidirectional rotating bezel and water resistance to 30 bar. Those are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results. The 43.6 mm measurement applies to these November 2024 ceramic references; it should not be conflated with specifications for other Bathyscaphe versions. For example, Blancpain’s separate product page for a steel Bathyscaphe Flyback lists a 43 mm case, a different model: steel Bathyscaphe Flyback Chronograph.

Blancpain dates the Bathyscaphe’s origin to 1956 and presents it as the more everyday, urban counterpart to the Fifty Fathoms, while retaining the capacity for underwater exploration. That is the brand’s description of the collection, rather than an independent historical assessment.
