What is the De Rijke & Co x Miffy Moonphase?
It is a mechanical watch pairing De Rijke & Co’s rotating-case concept with a moonphase display featuring Miffy, the character created by Dutch artist Dick Bruna. The second series kept the 38mm format and the inner case that rotates 90 degrees, while adding case and dial refinements. Monochrome Watches reported the release on 16 January 2023; its launch report is the detailed source for the specifications below.
What changed in the second series?
Three official Miffy colors
The second series came in orange, white, and yellow lacquered dials, described in the launch report as official Miffy colors. Each color was limited to 25 watches, for 75 across the three named variants. The report does not give different prices by color.
A deeper, more prominent moonphase
The case was described as slightly thicker than the earlier watch, creating more room for the hands and a deeper moonphase display. The sapphire crystal is more domed. The moonphase disc is brass, thicker than before, laser-etched, and hand-lacquered. Its image shows Miffy with the moon and stars; the report says all three elements use Super-LumiNova.

Dial and case details
The reported construction uses 316L stainless steel for the inner and outer cases, with a screw-down crown, sapphire crystal, engraved solid-steel caseback, and 100m water resistance. Applied steel hour markers have Super-LumiNova, alongside a printed minute track and an orange-red central seconds hand. The leather strap uses curved spring bars and a pin buckle. The inner case rotates through 90 degrees within the outer case.

How much did the second-series Miffy Moonphase cost?
Monochrome reported a launch price of €2,888 before taxes in January 2023. The article said preorders would be available later that week after its 16 January announcement. Both details describe the original launch period; they do not establish today’s price or whether a watch can still be ordered.
Is the orange, white, or yellow edition still available?
Current availability for the three 2023 colors is not established. De Rijke & Co’s Miffy Moonphase product page concerns a later green model and is marked sold out; that does not confirm the status of the orange, white, or yellow second-series watches. Worn & Wound also covered later green single- and double-moonphase versions in 2024, which are separate releases rather than variants of the 2023 second series: its 2024 coverage.

If considering a listing, check that it names the second series and the specific dial color, then confirm stock, seller identity, warranty, and return terms directly. A listing for a later green Miffy Moonphase is not evidence that one of the 2023 editions is available.

The launch report identifies orange, white, and yellow as the choices but gives no technical or price distinction among them. The practical choice is therefore visual preference: compare the dial color with the case, strap, and the vivid orange-red seconds hand. Each named color had the same reported limit of 25 pieces; no per-color production split beyond that is provided.
