What distinguishes the HMS from the Classic Open?
Both models are time-only watches with the same reported case dimensions and movement specifications. The visual difference is the dial: the HMS has a closed dial, while the Classic Open has an aperture at 9 o’clock that exposes the balance wheel. Monochrome Watches identifies the HMS movement as the NH35A and the Open movement as the NH38A.

Monochrome’s report specifies 24 jewels, 21,600 vibrations per hour and a 41-hour power reserve for both movements. These are published specifications, not independent test results. Monochrome Watches’ 15 September 2025 introduction is the source for the collection details.
Case materials, size and construction
The collection uses a square cushion-shaped case measuring 39 × 39 mm and 11.8 mm thick. Buyers can choose mirror-polished stainless steel or polished tortoiseshell-pattern Italian acetate. On acetate models, the crown, lugs and bezel are steel.

Dial colors and details
The reported dial options are black, white opaline and navy/blue. The dials combine a grained central texture with a circular-brushed chapter ring, railway-style minute track, applied markers and Super-LumiNova inserts. The Open’s balance-wheel aperture is the defining exception to the otherwise shared dial layout.
Straps and interchangeability
Briston lists black, brown or navy calfskin straps with an embossed alligator pattern and a steel pin buckle. The watches use Briston’s “a presto” interchangeable strap system. The launch report does not give a strap width or establish compatibility with third-party straps, so check the exact model’s fit and attachment system before buying a replacement.

Launch prices and availability
Monochrome Watches reported launch prices of €550 for tortoiseshell acetate and €570 for stainless steel in September 2025, and said the watches could then be ordered through Briston’s website. Those are dated launch prices, not current quotes. A Just In Time Briston collection listing includes Clubmaster Legend Classic models, including blue, white, black and open-heart variants; a listing does not establish stock in every market or current availability for a particular reference.
