For the family’s remaining specifications, it is important to separate what CVDK lists for the standard Real Moon Joure from what has been confirmed for this specific variant.
What is the Green Meteorite version?
It is a variant of CVDK’s Real Moon Joure, distinguished by its green meteorite dial. The official CVDK pressroom uses the name “CVDK Real Moon Joure Green Meteorite,” while Christie’s describes a circa-2024 example with a green meteorite dial, stainless-steel case, automatic movement and three-dimensional moon phases.
CVDK says its watches are designed and manufactured at its atelier in Naarden, the Netherlands. The Real Moon Joure’s defining feature is its spherical moon display: rather than a conventional flat disc, a handmade miniature moon presents the phase in three dimensions.
How does the moon-phase display work, and how accurate is it?
The display represents the Moon’s phase through a miniature sphere. CVDK gives the lunar orbit period as 29.530588853 days and says its handmade 3D moon deviates by only one day in 11,000 years. Those are the manufacturer’s figures, not the result of an independently documented accuracy test.

CVDK’s standard-model page also says the Real Moon Joure was unanimously named “European Watch of the Year 2014” by an international jury in London. This is the brand’s account of the award.
What specifications are documented?
The official Real Moon Joure page supplies specifications for the standard model, while the auction record confirms a smaller set of details for a Green Meteorite example. The figures should not be merged as if every standard-model specification were verified for the exact variant.

Movement information differs across sources. The Fédération de l’Horlogerie lists caliber CVDK7382, 35 jewels and a 96-hour reserve, whereas CVDK’s standard Real Moon Joure page gives 32 jewels and up to 60 hours. Neither set should be assigned to the Green Meteorite reference without exact-reference confirmation from the manufacturer.
What configurations and prices have been reported?
A 2022 article by Federatie Goud en Zilver described the Real Moon Joure in stainless steel, 18-karat white gold and rose gold, with or without diamond settings. Its suggested prices are historical, not current retail quotes:

Christie’s reported that a circa-2024 steel Green Meteorite example realized HKD 176,400 on 29 April 2025. That is one auction result, not an appraisal or a current market valuation. FHH lists an indicated price of CHF 39,900, but its profile’s publication date is not visible; that figure should not be treated as a verified current price.

Because material, setting and movement details can vary, compare the exact watch rather than relying on the family name alone. Ask the seller or CVDK to confirm:

- Which accessories are included and whether the presentation box is the original fitted box. Christie’s noted that the box accompanying its auction example might not have been the original fitted box.
- The price date and basis: current seller quote, historical suggested price or completed auction result.
CVDK says its watches come in a luxury box and that watches in its Collection of Astronomical Masterpieces have a box fitted with a removable Swiss Kubik winder. The available information does not establish that the Green Meteorite belongs to that collection or that a specific winder is compatible, so confirm both points before treating a winder as included.
