The brand called it its last Limited Series; that wording is F.P.Journe’s statement about this production category, not a guarantee about every form of future special or commemorative watch.
Why F.P.Journe made the Chronographe FB
The Chronographe FB commemorates the 20th anniversary of F.P.Journe’s first Tokyo boutique. In its May 23, 2024 announcement, the brand said the boutique opened in September 2003 inside La Collezione in Omotesando, an initiative it attributed to François-Paul Journe.
F.P.Journe described the watch as a 200-piece Limited Series and wrote: “The Chronographe FB, produced at 200 pieces, will be the brand’s last Limited Series.” That is the manufacturer’s announcement, rather than independent confirmation that the brand will never make another limited, special, or anniversary watch.
What distinguishes the case and dial
The case is polished titanium, measuring 40 mm across and 10.4 mm in overall height. Its crown and chronograph pushers are made of 18K 6N gold, pairing the lightweight case material with warm gold controls.

The dial combines ruthenium-coated guilloché silver with sapphire counters. F.P.Journe lists 5N gilt, red-lacquered, and ivory-colored steel hands, providing contrasting colors against the darkened dial treatment.
How the flyback chronograph works
The central chronograph seconds hand completes one revolution in two minutes. A 60-second counter sits at 9 o’clock, a 60-minute counter at 3 o’clock, and the big date is at 6 o’clock.

The manufacturer assigns start and stop to the pusher at 2 o’clock, and reset and flyback to the pusher at 4 o’clock. A flyback lets the wearer reset a running timing sequence and begin another in a single operation, rather than stopping, resetting, and starting the chronograph separately.

Calibre 1518.2 is manually wound and made in 18K rose gold. F.P.Journe specifies a frequency of 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour), an 80-hour power reserve, and 25 jewels.
