Farer presents Series III as an update to one of its earliest ranges, emphasizing new dial colors and textures alongside enhanced specifications. The most distinctive change is the dial work: Farer describes a multi-stage process that builds a pressed pattern beneath layers of color and lacquer.
How Farer makes the patterned dials
According to Farer, a custom tool first presses a pattern into a blank dial. Paint is then sprayed onto the surface; some models use multiple colors to create smoky gradients. Farer applies clear lacquer and polishes it before printing the minute track and text and adding luminous numerals. The brand says the lacquer creates depth and makes the markers appear to float above the dial. These are Farer’s descriptions of its manufacturing process, not independent observations.
