The Fratello × NOMOS Glashütte Weltzeit “Blue Panda” is a 100-piece limited edition announced in 2022. It pairs the Zürich Weltzeit’s second-time-zone display with midnight-blue panda-style dial elements, orange accents and a windmill marker for home time. Its production count and launch price are historical; the cited sources do not establish current stock.
What is the Blue Panda?
Fratello announced the Blue Panda on September 20, 2022, as a follow-up to its 2021 Hague Edition, which was limited to 25 pieces. The Blue Panda was limited to 100 pieces. Fratello’s launch coverage describes the edition-specific changes: midnight blue replaced the earlier panda dial elements, orange details added contrast, and a windmill marker identified home time. It was also the first Weltzeit paired with a navy woven strap, according to Fratello’s September 20, 2022 announcement.
The collaboration is built on the NOMOS Zürich Weltzeit rather than being a new movement or case design. The result is a limited-edition treatment of an established travel-watch layout.
How does its second-time-zone display work?
The watch combines a city ring with a home-time display to show a second time zone. Fratello explains that, technically, the Weltzeit is a GMT watch, not a conventional world timer displaying every time zone at once. Its September 27, 2022 launch article puts the distinction plainly: “Because of this, the Weltzeit is technically a GMT watch and not a true world timer.”

Its listed functions are hours, minutes, small seconds and a second time zone with city indication. The city ring helps identify the selected location; it should not be mistaken for a simultaneous readout of all world time zones.

The dimensions, construction and edition specifications are reported in Fratello’s announcement and launch coverage. NOMOS’s current official Zürich Weltzeit nachtblau page identifies DUW 5201 as the world-time caliber and lists approximately 42 hours of power reserve and 26 jewels; that page describes a standard Zürich Weltzeit variant, not the Blue Panda.

Historical launch price and availability
At launch in 2022, Fratello stated a price of €4,620 including 21% Dutch VAT, or €3,818.18 excluding VAT. The launch coverage described two ordering windows in September 2022. These are release terms from that period, not a current price or an indication that the watch remains available.
Current Blue Panda inventory is not established by the cited pages. NOMOS’s current Zürich Weltzeit materials document standard models and the DUW 5201 caliber, but do not establish that this limited Fratello edition can still be purchased. Any listing for a standard Zürich Weltzeit should be treated as a different model, not as the Blue Panda.
