The Gerald Charles Maestro GC39 25th Anniversary Edition (reference GC39-TNPS-LSEN-RSDP-REM) revisits the brand’s 2005 GC39 with an unusual anti-clockwise jumping-hour display. It pairs a polished Grade 5 titanium case with a lapis lazuli dial and the manufacturer-described in-house GCA3900 automatic calibre. Gerald Charles lists the limited edition of 100 at $48,600 before sales tax on its product page, checked October 8, 2026.
How does the jumping hour work?
Instead of a conventional hand that travels around an hour scale, the hour indication jumps anti-clockwise as the hour changes. Minutes are displayed concentrically at the center of the dial. Gerald Charles calls the complication a “sliding-hour” display and says the anniversary model revives that feature.
What distinguishes the anniversary edition?
The Foundation for Haute Horlogerie describes the new watch as a revisit of a Gérald Genta jumping-hours watch from 2005. The original used a movement by master watchmaker Antoine Preziuso and showed the hour on a rotating disc. The anniversary edition has a manufacturer-described in-house Swiss Manufacture GCA3900; the available information establishes a lineage, not an identical movement or mechanism.
