Horage introduced the DecaFlux in March 2025 as the first watch to use its new K3 automatic calibre. The current DecaFlux K3 listing is CHF 2,750, with a 40 mm steel case, 100 m stated water resistance and a four-day power reserve. Here’s what the watch and movement offer, and what the specifications do—and do not—establish.
What is the Horage DecaFlux?
The DecaFlux is a three-hand automatic watch built around Horage’s K3 calibre. Horage’s current product page lists polished black and sunray blue dial options. The launch was reported by Fratello on March 20, 2025; its coverage also drew a visual comparison to the discontinued Rolex Milgauss. That resemblance is Fratello’s design interpretation, not a stated Horage positioning.

The listed dimensions offer more practical context than diameter alone: the case measures 9.98 mm thick and 46 mm from lug to lug. Actual fit still depends on wrist shape and preference; the published figures do not establish how it will wear on an individual.

What the K3 automatic calibre offers
Horage lists the K3 at 30 mm in diameter and 4.2 mm thick, with automatic winding, a silicon spring and escapement, screw balance regulation, COSC certification and a certificate. In a March 26, 2025 technical article, Fratello reported a frequency of 25,200 vibrations per hour (3.5 Hz) and 26 jewels for the standard version. The article describes the calibre’s development as focused on efficiency and modern manufacturing, and says variants could support small seconds, a date or a power-reserve indicator. Those are reported possibilities for K3 variants, not additional functions confirmed for the DecaFlux listing. COSC certification is listed by Horage, but neither that specification nor the published movement details amount to an independent test of this particular watch’s timekeeping in use.
Winding, magnetism and water-resistance care
Winding a stopped watch
Horage’s manual says to wind a stopped DecaFlux by turning the crown clockwise approximately 40 times. It gives the power reserve as 96 hours. Magnetic fields
The manual says the silicon escapement and hairspring perform well in everyday magnetic fields, but warns that very strong magnetic forces can negatively affect any mechanical watch. Keep the DecaFlux away from strong-field sources such as magnets and batteries; the manual does not describe it as immune to magnetism.
Before water exposure and cleaning
- Push the crown fully home before wearing the watch or exposing it to water.
- Horage notes that impacts or chemical exposure can affect water resistance. For owners who frequently take the watch into water, it recommends having a competent service centre check water resistance every three years.
- For cleaning, the manual suggests warm water, gentle hand soap and a soft cotton cloth, with the crown closed.
Ordering and delivery details
Horage says orders are customized and that delivery began in June 2025. That is a historical start date, not a guarantee of current stock or delivery timing; confirm current availability and lead time on the product page before ordering. How to assess the DecaFlux K3
The published specifications make the DecaFlux a clearly defined proposition: a 40 mm steel three-hander with a 96-hour reserve, COSC certification and a bracelet clasp with fine micro-adjustment. They do not establish a comparative advantage over competing watches, or prove real-world accuracy, durability or magnetic performance. For a meaningful comparison, consider case fit, dial finish, movement functions, reserve, certification, water resistance, bracelet adjustment, price and the delivery and tax terms that apply in your region.
