How the Bell Hora’s chime works
MeisterSinger says the Bell Hora sounds once at the top of each hour. On its general Bell Hora page, the brand explains that a module accumulates energy over a 60-minute period and then strikes a sound fork. The chime can be disengaged for quiet hours.

The same general product information describes an automatic MS Bell movement based on a modified Sellita SW200 and a 38-hour power reserve. These are specifications for the Bell Hora collection as presented by MeisterSinger, not independent confirmation of the precise movement configuration in the Notre-Dame edition.
Reading its single-hand display
The Bell Hora uses MeisterSinger’s single-hand approach to timekeeping. On the brand’s US Bell Hora page, each line on the outer circle represents five minutes. That explanation is for general/US Bell Hora material; check the Notre-Dame watch’s own dial markings rather than assuming every detail is identical.
Why Notre-Dame’s bells suit the theme
Notre-Dame de Paris says its 21 bronze bells sound the hours and mark important moments in the life of the Church and the history of Paris. The cathedral’s account provides context for the Bell Hora theme, but it does not establish a formal relationship between the cathedral and this watch.

The cathedral identifies Emmanuel as its oldest bell: cast in 1683 and named by Louis XIV, it measures 2.62 metres across at the base and weighs 13 tonnes. The four bells in the north tower were replaced in 2013, while Emmanuel was retained.

Specifications from another Bell Hora variant should not be carried over to the Notre-Dame edition. MeisterSinger’s separate US Petrol Edition is listed at 43 mm in diameter, 13 mm high, with 20 mm lug width and 5-bar water resistance. Those figures describe that variant, not the Notre-Dame watch; the available Notre-Dame listing establishes only a 20 mm lug width among those measurements.
