What is the OMEGA Paris 2024 Bronze Gold Edition?
It is a Specialities model created for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. OMEGA’s official product page identifies it as reference 522.92.39.21.99.001 and gives its case diameter as 39 mm. The launch announcement, published on 24 July 2024, frames its design around the three metals associated with Olympic medals: bronze, silver and gold. OMEGA’s Japan product page and its launch announcement document the model and specifications.
How the case, dial and hands use medal-inspired materials
Bronze Gold case
The case is made from OMEGA Bronze Gold, a proprietary alloy that OMEGA says contains 37.5% gold and is hallmarked 9K. The launch announcement also identifies palladium and silver among the alloy’s constituents. Bronze Gold is OMEGA’s material name; it is not the same as a conventional bronze case.
Ag 925 silver dial
The dial is Ag 925 silver, with a Clous de Paris pattern at its center. The textured center provides contrast with the smooth surrounding dial while adding a decorative detail associated with the watch’s formal, vintage-influenced styling.

Gold hands and strap
The hands are 18K Sedna Gold with Bronze Gold PVD coating. OMEGA fits the watch with a brown calf-skin leather strap and a Bronze Gold buckle. Taken together, these details make the medal-metal theme literal in the materials, rather than just a color scheme.
What the 1939 design reference means
OMEGA says the watch’s vintage look is inspired by a classic wristwatch from 1939. The original model’s technical sheets used the designation CK 859, and its movement was a manual-winding 30T small-seconds calibre. The modern watch’s caseback engraving, “BG 859,” refers to the Bronze Gold case shape, according to OMEGA’s launch announcement; it is not the reference number of the modern watch.

The caseback also carries a stamped and frosted Paris 2024 medallion, connecting the watch to the Olympic event. The design therefore brings together two references: the 1939-era OMEGA styling and the Paris 2024 occasion.
Movement, power reserve and certification
The watch uses manual-winding Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8926. OMEGA describes the calibre as a modern tribute to the vintage 30T2. On its Japan product page, OMEGA lists a 72-hour power reserve, a frequency of 3.5 Hz and magnetic resistance of 15,000 gauss. These are the specifications published by OMEGA Japan for this reference.

OMEGA says each customer’s watch comes with a certification card in the special presentation box, documenting that the watch passed the METAS Master Chronometer tests. That is the manufacturer’s description of the supplied card and certification.
