Choose by fit and preferred proportions, not by assuming one size suits every wrist.
What is the Oris Aquis Date Ben Bridge collaboration?
It is a pair of limited-edition Oris Aquis Date divers created with US retailer Ben Bridge. Both have purple mother-of-pearl dials. In its May 8, 2025 launch article, Ben Bridge said the purple draws on the retailer’s signature color and the mother-of-pearl evokes the Pacific Northwest’s coastal waters. That is the retailer’s stated design rationale.
Ben Bridge says its watch buyer, Joe Perez, worked on the project with Oris, alongside Ben Bridge VP of Merchandise Angela Hope and CEO Lisa Bridge. Perez described the Aquis as a watch he finds easy to dress up or down; that is his personal view, not a performance assessment.

What is known about the larger Aquis Date?
Oris’s US listing gives the larger model a stainless-steel case, purple dial, 30 bar water resistance, automatic Oris caliber 733-1, a 41-hour power reserve and a 24 mm interhorn width. The listed price is USD 2,500, and the limited run is 125 pieces. Oris’s page says it is unavailable to buy online and suggests checking its stores: Oris Aquis Date product page.
Ben Bridge’s product listing describes the watch as automatic, with a date, stainless-steel case and bracelet, folding clasp and 300 meters of water resistance. It lists the case at 43 mm and uses reference 01 733 7730 4118-07082405: Ben Bridge 43 mm product page.

Ben Bridge lists reference 01 733 7770 4118-0781805P at USD 2,500, limited to 40 pieces. Its specifications include an automatic movement, date function, purple dial, stainless-steel case and bracelet, folding clasp and 300 meters of water resistance. Which size should you choose?
The product information establishes the case sizes, but it cannot determine how either watch will sit on your wrist. If possible, try both on: consider how the case looks from above and in profile, how the bracelet drapes, and whether the watch feels comfortable through ordinary movement. If you cannot try them, compare the stated case dimensions with a watch you already wear comfortably; case diameter alone does not establish how a watch will fit.

For exact identification, use the full reference number, not just “purple Aquis” or the rounded case size. The two product pages describe distinct references and edition quantities, while the 43 mm/43.50 mm difference is a rounding discrepancy between retailer and manufacturer.

Ben Bridge’s May 8, 2025 launch article gives two conflicting quantities for the larger watch: an early paragraph says 150 pieces, while a later paragraph says 125. Oris’s product page and Ben Bridge’s specific 43 mm listing both state 125, so 125 is the better-supported figure. The 36 mm listing states 40 pieces.
