That is its documented 2015 auction result—not a current appraisal or evidence that the watch is available today.
What made this Only Watch piece distinctive?
Bell & Ross combined the BR01’s square-case design and skull motif with a bronze case and a hand-wound flying tourbillon. The watch was made for the 2015 Only Watch charity auction and described by Phillips and contemporary coverage as unique. It should not be conflated with other BR 01 skull or bronze watches, which may share visual cues but are not this auction lot.
The bronze is CuSn8, an alloy the brand presented as developing a changing patina through environmental exposure. That is the brand’s material narrative, not a quantified durability claim or a guarantee that every case will age in the same way. Case, movement and display
Phillips lists a 46 mm CuSn8 bronze case, screw-down crown and titanium caseback with a transparent sapphire crystal. The display is more involved than a conventional skull-dial watch. Contemporary technical coverage describes regulator-style hours and minutes, a flying tourbillon with a gold cage, and a three-dimensional honeycomb dial bearing a hand-engraved solid 18-carat gold skull. It also describes an accuracy indicator that shows the mainspring torque range in which the movement is intended to operate. A separate indicator shows the remaining power reserve. Only Watch and the charity context
Contemporary accounts associate the 2015 Only Watch auction with fundraising for research into Duchenne muscular dystrophy and mention the Association Monégasque contre les Myopathies in that context. The available coverage does not establish how much of this individual lot’s sale price was allocated to a particular recipient, so the CHF 100,000 result should not be described as a lot-specific charitable contribution. The Phillips record documents the watch as sold in 2015, but does not identify its current owner or establish whether it has since been resold or is presently for sale. The sources documenting the lot therefore cannot confirm current availability. A listing for another BR 01 skull or bronze watch would be a related model, not proof that this Only Watch piece is on the market.
