The Parmigiani Fleurier L’Armoriale Répétition Mystérieuse separates its displays: the front is a green enamel-and-guilloché artwork, the time appears on a jade dial on the reverse, and a minute repeater sounds the time on demand. Parmigiani describes it as a bespoke Objet d’Art limited to no more than five pieces; its published price is CHF 650,000.
How does the L’Armoriale Répétition Mystérieuse tell time?
To read the time visually, turn the watch over. Its reverse carries a Guatemalan white-jade dial with rose-gold hour and minute hands. The front does not show conventional time indications: it is a decorative display of green grand-feu enamel, guilloché, and a hand-sculpted pinecone motif.
For an auditory reading, the minute repeater sounds the time. Minute repeaters were originally intended to make time available in the dark, before electric lighting, and this watch retains that basic function while placing its visual display out of sight on the back. Parmigiani says the repeater uses cathedral gongs that wrap twice around the movement. The maker does not publish measured sound-performance results on the product page.
What is the secret dial?
The “secret” is the contrast between the watch’s two sides, not a hidden time display on the front. The enamelled face is intended to be appreciated as an artwork; the jade dial is revealed when the case is turned. This arrangement makes the watch’s ordinary visual time reading a deliberate act of turning it over, while the repeater offers another way to learn the time.

The front’s guilloché is described by Parmigiani as inspired by Fibonacci spirals, and the pinecone is sculpted by hand. The brand connects these motifs with nature and the golden ratio. That explanation is the maker’s artistic framing, rather than an independent assessment of the design.

These are specifications published by Parmigiani Fleurier, not independently verified measurements. The 41.60 mm figure is the precise diameter in the technical listing; 42 mm is the rounded figure used in the marketing description.

Edition, price, and warranty
Parmigiani presents the watch as bespoke and says the series comprises no more than five pieces. The official product video announcing it is dated December 2, 2024. The current product page lists a price of CHF 650,000 and a three-year international commercial warranty. It also says a complimentary two-year extension may be available after account creation and watch registration, subject to eligibility terms; that does not establish that every buyer qualifies.
The manufacturer’s sources do not state whether any of the announced pieces remain available. The listed price and warranty terms are the brand’s published information, so prospective buyers should confirm current details directly with Parmigiani Fleurier or an authorized retailer.

What this watch is—and is not
The L’Armoriale Répétition Mystérieuse is a wristwatch built around a reverse time dial and a minute repeater, not the separate L’Armoriale pocket watch. The pocket watch’s historical movement and calibre PF993 belong to that different model. The Répétition Mystérieuse is listed with hand-wound calibre PF355.
Parmigiani CEO Guido Terreni describes the concept as a way to connect with time through sound while leaving the eye free to appreciate the craftsmanship. That is the brand’s statement of intent; it should not be mistaken for an independent evaluation of the watch’s sound or finishing.
