A historic display, reinterpreted for a wristwatch
RGM says the 501-PC’s design takes inspiration from perpetual-calendar pocket watches of the late 1890s. The company describes the release as a complication it had wanted to make for many years. RGM’s announcement also identifies the watch as its first perpetual calendar since the Model 103-R Minute Repeater Perpetual of the late 1990s.
Independent coverage describes a 316L stainless-steel case with a raised, box-style sapphire crystal and sapphire display back. The traditional dial layout combines Roman hour markers with red Arabic numerals at five-minute intervals. Its white Grand Feu fired-enamel surface and blued-steel hands reinforce the classical look. Monochrome Watches’ coverage places the date at 3 o’clock, day at 9, month at 12 and moon phase at 6.
How the calendar indications work
The 501-PC displays the date, day, month and moon phase, alongside information for the leap-year cycle. Monochrome describes the month hand as making one revolution over four years; the divided month display indicates the current month and marks the leap-year information. That four-year indication is the feature that distinguishes the calendar layout from a simple month display.

Movement: modified ETA with a perpetual-calendar module
Monochrome reports that the watch uses an automatic ETA 2892-A2 modified by RGM and paired with a custom Dubois Dépraz perpetual-calendar module. That is a modified Swiss base movement with an added calendar module—not a wholly in-house movement.

What makes the 501-PC notable
The watch’s appeal rests on the contrast between an old-fashioned calendar presentation and a modern wristwatch movement architecture. The enamel dial, blued hands and pocket-watch-derived layout give the complication a visibly traditional expression, while the reported 39 mm by 11.5 mm steel case keeps the package relatively restrained on paper for a watch with a perpetual-calendar display.
