The second Christopher Ward C65 Dune GMT is the 2024 White Sand-dial version, paired with a khaki-green 24-hour scale. It follows a 2023 black-dial limited edition of 200 pieces. The new watch retains the 38 mm steel case, 150 m water resistance and Sellita SW330-2 movement, while changing the dial’s colors and day/night cues. It is a caller-style GMT: its 24-hour hand can be set independently to track another time zone, but the local hour hand does not jump independently for quick travel-time changes.
What’s different about the second C65 Dune GMT?
Christopher Ward introduced the White Sand and khaki-green version in 2024 as the follow-up to its 2023 black-dial limited edition. Fratello’s launch coverage lists the new version as reference C65-38AGM3-S00E0-B0. The original release was limited to 200 pieces; the 2024 version was described as the new standard version. Fratello’s March 6, 2024 introduction covers the release and its launch configurations.
| Detail | 2023 limited edition | 2024 second version |
|---|---|---|
| Dial | Black, with sand-colored details | White Sand with khaki-green details |
| 24-hour ring | Two-tone black-and-sand day/night ring | Single khaki-green ring with sand-colored numerals |
| Accent colors | Red accents, including on the GMT hand | GMT hand combines sand and green |
| Release status | Limited edition of 200 pieces in 2023 | Described as the new standard version in 2024 |
The most practical visual difference is the ring: the first version’s two-tone treatment distinguishes day from night at a glance, while the second uses one green color around the full 24-hour scale. The change is aesthetic, not a change to the watch’s time-zone function. Fratello’s hands-on review calls the second dial more restrained; that is the reviewer’s impression, not an objective advantage. The April 16, 2024 hands-on review discusses the dial and wear experience.
Is the C65 Dune GMT a caller or flyer GMT?
It is a caller-style GMT. The Sellita SW330-2 lets the wearer adjust the 24-hour GMT hand independently, so it can indicate a second time zone while the main hands show local time. Fratello describes setting the GMT hand at the crown’s first position and the local time at its second position.

That control layout differs from the independently jumping local-hour hand commonly associated with a flyer or traveler GMT. A traveler arriving in a new time zone may find a jumping local hour more convenient; a caller GMT remains useful for keeping track of another zone, such as home or a colleague’s location. The cited coverage establishes the C65’s control arrangement and classification, rather than a full comparison of GMT movements.
How big is the C65 Dune GMT?
Fratello’s 2024 coverage gives the White Sand version a 38 mm stainless-steel case, 43.7 mm lug-to-lug length and 11.9 mm thickness. It has a box-shaped sapphire crystal and a display back. Water resistance is 150 m (15 ATM). The listed 20 mm canvas strap width may also help when considering strap options, though compatibility with any specific replacement strap should be checked before purchase.

What are the C65 Dune GMT’s movement and dial specifications?
The automatic Sellita SW330-2 GMT movement is specified at 28,800 vibrations per hour, with 25 jewels and a 56-hour power reserve. The watch displays time, date and a separately adjustable 24-hour GMT indication; the date sits at 6 o’clock. Applied dial markers use “Old Radium” Super-LumiNova. These are specifications reported in Fratello’s 2024 introduction and review.
Which strap or bracelet options were available?

- Dial preference: Choose between the original black-and-sand contrast with red accents and the White Sand dial’s khaki-green treatment. Which looks better is subjective.
- Day/night cue: The first version’s two-tone ring visually separates day and night; the second’s ring is a single green color.
- Edition status: The first release was limited to 200 pieces. The second was presented in 2024 as the standard version.
- Wear configuration: The 2024 version was reported on canvas, vintage-oak leather or the Bader steel bracelet, with different historical launch prices.
- Core function: Both versions share the reported case and movement specification, including the caller-style GMT arrangement.
In a hands-on account, reviewer Jorg Weppelink said he wore the White Sand version on a 17 cm wrist. That observation describes his experience only; it cannot predict fit or comfort for every wrist.
