Vacheron Constantin introduced three Traditionnelle Bucherer Blue Editions in Paris in September 2018: a 33 mm diamond-bezel model, a 38 mm automatic with date and small seconds, and a 42 mm tourbillon with a 14-day power reserve. Contemporary coverage described them as Bucherer exclusives at launch and as the first blue treatment for the Traditionnelle line.
Three Traditionnelle watches, each with a different purpose
The Blue Editions paired rose-gold cases with blue dials and blue alligator straps. Their shared color scheme connected the trio; size, movement and display separated them. The specifications below were reported at launch in 2018 by The Watch Observer and Fratello.

How the three models differ
33 mm: a compact two-hand watch with a diamond bezel
The Small Model is the simplest in display: it shows hours and minutes, with no date or seconds hand listed in the launch specifications. Its 33 mm case and 54-diamond bezel give it the most jewelry-like character of the three. Calibre 1400 is hand-wound and was reported with approximately 40 hours of reserve. The Watch Observer listed the movement as comprising 98 components and 20 jewels.
38 mm: an automatic with date and small seconds
The 38 mm model adds the most practical calendar indication in the group: a date, alongside small seconds. Its calibre 2455 is automatic and was reported with approximately 40 hours of reserve. The Watch Observer listed 194 components and 27 jewels for the movement. Compared with the 33 mm watch, it has a larger case and a more information-rich dial, without the tourbillon or extended reserve of the largest model.

42 mm: the 14-day tourbillon
The largest Blue Edition is also the technical centerpiece. Hand-wound calibre 2260 powers a tourbillon, a power-reserve indicator and the 336-hour reserve behind the “14-Day” name. The Watch Observer reported 231 components and 31 jewels. Its 42 mm rose-gold case makes it the most substantial option in the trio; the power reserve, rather than a calendar display, is its defining practical feature.
Launch context and edition status
The watches were introduced in Paris in September 2018 as part of Bucherer’s Blue Editions series. Fratello and The Watch Observer described the blue treatment as a first for the Traditionnelle collection, and launch coverage characterized the models as exclusive to Bucherer at that time. Contemporary reports also said the watches carried the Poinçon de Genève.

That launch exclusivity does not establish present-day availability. Fratello reported no public production quantities, so there is no substantiated edition size to call these numbered limited editions. Launch prices varied by publication and currency. The Watch Observer reported €28,200 for the 33 mm model, €27,300 for the 38 mm model and €257,000 for the tourbillon. Fratello reported CHF 30,000 for the 33 mm watch and CHF 282,000 for the tourbillon; its 38 mm coverage did not state a price. These are figures reported in 2018, not current prices or present-day valuations.
