Fratello reported on February 5, 2025, that the stainless-steel 5712/1A was no longer listed on Patek Philippe’s website. The report described it as the end of a model that followed the 3712 in 2006, but did not identify an official discontinuation date. Fratello’s report states that Patek Philippe did not officially announce the change or share anything about the discontinuation. What the steel 5712/1A offered
Patek Philippe’s 2006 press material describes the 5712 as a self-winding complicated Nautilus, powered by caliber 240 PS IRM C LU. The steel 5712/1A configuration has a stainless-steel case, an integrated steel bracelet and a sapphire-crystal caseback. Its functions include hours and minutes, small seconds, a power-reserve indicator, analog date and moon phase. How this differs from the 5711/1A announcement
Patek Philippe handled the steel Nautilus 5711/1A differently. In an April 7, 2021 press release, the brand said that 2021 would be the model’s last production year. Patek Philippe’s 2021 announcement For the 5712/1A, the available account is instead a reported catalog removal without an accompanying public explanation from Patek. The two references should not be treated as having the same discontinuation announcement or timeline.
