What is the Black Forest Lagoon?
It is a variant of STOWA’s Flieger Verus, pairing the brand’s black-coated “Black Forest” case with a dial inspired by the Blautopf, a blue body of water in Baden-Württemberg. STOWA describes the design as drawing on the surroundings and landscape of the Black Forest.
The contrast comes through in the lume as well as the colors: STOWA specifies black Super-LumiNova on the dial markings and turquoise Grade A Super-LumiNova on the hands, which glows blue.
Size, materials and water resistance
For the automatic listing, STOWA gives a 40.0 mm case diameter, 10.2 mm case height, 48.6 mm lug-to-lug measurement and 20.0 mm strap width. The hand-wound top-grade listing is 9.7 mm high. Both the cited automatic and hand-wound listings specify a sapphire crystal and water resistance up to 5 ATM.

STOWA’s controls offer movement-grade and display choices. The listed automatic options use a Sellita SW 200 in basic or top grade; the hand-wound top-grade version uses a Sellita SW 210. The STOWA series page showed a €1,150–€1,300 range including VAT when accessed on October 8, 2026, with shipping extra. The displayed amounts are time-sensitive, and the final total may depend on the selected configuration and destination.

Monochrome Watches reported launch-era 2024 prices of €1,090 for the automatic basic, €1,220 for the automatic top grade and €1,240 for the hand-wound top grade. Those historical figures differ from the current STOWA listings cited above and should not be treated as today’s prices.
