Why the watch is pink
The pink details refer to the Giro’s Maglia Rosa, the pink jersey awarded to the race leader. Tudor uses the color to connect the watch visually to the event rather than presenting it as a general-purpose color variant. The company says it chose carbon composite for the case because the material is used in fast bicycles, while titanium elements are intended to add robustness. These are Tudor’s explanations of the design, not independent performance findings.
A tachymeter arranged for cycling speeds
The most distinctive functional detail is the tachymeter scale, which follows a spiral around the dial rather than a conventional single ring. Tudor says this layout is intended to let a cyclist read average speed at a glance, and describes the function as specifically designed for cycling. In its May 7, 2025 announcement, the brand states: “The tachymeter function on the Pelagos FXD Chrono ‘Pink’ has been specifically designed for cycling.” Tudor has not published rider-use results or independent field-test data for this Pink edition.

The official Pink announcement confirms a carbon-composite case with titanium elements, but does not provide a complete Pink-specific specification sheet. Tudor’s detailed page is for the related Pelagos FXD Chrono Cycling Edition, reference M25827KN-0001. Its listed specifications are useful family context, but they should not be attributed to the Pink unless Tudor confirms that they apply.

Tudor’s 2024 technical PDF for reference 25827KN adds further details about that related Cycling Edition: a single-piece black fabric strap, 22 mm lug width, fixed 60-minute bezel, titanium screw-down crown and direct-action titanium pushers, date, central chronograph seconds, small seconds, and a 45-minute chronograph counter. It also lists a 28,800-beats-per-hour (4 Hz), 41-jewel movement with approximately 70 hours of power reserve. How to read the edition’s status and pricing
The 300-piece figure describes Tudor’s announced production quantity. It does not establish present stock, whether the edition has sold out, or its availability through any particular seller. Nor does the $6,375 figure on the related reference’s product page establish a retail price or market value for the Pink edition. Tudor’s official announcement does not supply a Pink-specific price, and the sources cited here do not establish its current inventory or resale value.
For buyers, the practical distinction is to confirm the exact edition and its documentation rather than rely on the shared Pelagos FXD Chrono name. Ask a seller to identify the watch specifically as the Pink Giro d’Italia edition and verify the reference, provenance and price with Tudor or an authorized retailer. A listing for the 2024 Cycling Edition is not evidence that it is the Pink model.
