The Union Glashütte Noramis Date Limited Edition Deutschland Klassik 2025 turns an automotive design cue into a watch dial: its silver face recalls the “Gullideckel,” or manhole-cover-style wheel rims associated with 1980s cars. Reference D016.407.16.030.08 is limited to 200 pieces and was created for the brand’s ADAC Deutschland Klassik partnership. Union Glashütte lists it at €2,780.
A wheel-rim design, translated into a dial
The Noramis Date belongs to Union Glashütte’s “Wheel Rims” series. On this edition, 15 narrow rectangular recesses and five radially arranged, screw-like details evoke the openings and wheel nuts of the classic “Gullideckel” rim. The manufacturer describes the design as a tribute to classic 1980s automobiles. Union Glashütte’s announcement explains the automotive inspiration.
The silver dial pairs that pattern with a railway-style minute track. Black PVD-coated hands with white Super-LumiNova provide the time display, while the date sits at six o’clock. The result is a recognizable automotive reference without replacing the conventional layout of a date watch.
Made for the Deutschland Klassik partnership
Union Glashütte was the official timekeeper for the ADAC Deutschland Klassik 2025, a classic-car tour held June 23–26. Heidelberg served as both its start and finish point. The brand describes the event as a relaxed tour with cultural and culinary stops rather than a competition centered on sporting timekeeping. That context gives the watch’s wheel-rim motif a direct link to the event, rather than making it a generic retro styling detail. The event announcement sets out the partnership and route context.

Case, movement and wearing details
The round case is made from 316L stainless steel and measures 40 mm across and 10.4 mm thick, with a 21 mm lug width. A domed sapphire crystal has anti-reflective coating on both faces. The black embossed calfskin strap has contrast stitching and closes with a double-fold fastener with twin push-buttons.
Inside is the self-winding UNG-07.S1 caliber. Its silicon balance spring, date display and 60-hour power reserve are joined by 21 jewels and a frequency of 25,200 vibrations per hour, or 3.5 Hz. These are specifications published by the manufacturer, not independent test results.

Union Glashütte rates the watch to 10 bar (100 m) water resistance. The brand notes that water resistance can decline as seals age or after impacts, and recommends annual checks at an approved service centre. Its listed warranty is two years. The watch comes with a sapphire crystal case back that reveals the movement, plus an additional engraved stainless-steel case back. The engraved version shows a stylized map of Germany, marking Heidelberg—the 2025 tour’s start and finish—and Glashütte, Union Glashütte’s watchmaking home. It is a practical choice between viewing the movement and displaying the edition’s commemorative detail.

Union Glashütte’s product page lists a price of €2,780; treat that as the manufacturer-listed figure, not a guarantee of a current offer or local availability. The brand’s listing also identifies the black strap by reference D610004438. Check the exact watch reference when looking for stock, since a standard Noramis Date or another Deutschland Klassik edition is not the same model.
