The Zenith Defy Extreme Jungle is a 50-piece, tiger-themed edition of the Defy Extreme chronograph, reported at launch in December 2024. Its Tiger’s Eye bezel and pusher guards, green openworked dial and high-frequency El Primero 9004 movement give the 45 mm titanium watch its distinctive look and mechanism. Monochrome Watches reported the reference as 95.9202.9004/26.I001.

What is the Zenith Defy Extreme Jungle?

Zenith’s Defy Extreme Jungle is a limited edition in the Defy Extreme chronograph line, styled around tiger stripes and the jungle theme. In its 3 December 2024 launch article, Monochrome Watches described it as the third edition in a series inspired by extreme environments, after the Desert and Glacier versions. That account establishes the launch context; it does not provide a full specification comparison with those editions.

The reported reference number is 95.9202.9004/26.I001. Monochrome’s reported specifications and launch details are the basis for the figures below; the article is not an official Zenith product page.

How does the tiger theme appear on the watch?

The most literal nod to the animal is the Tiger’s Eye stone used on the 12-sided bezel and the pusher guards. The stone’s bands supply the tiger-stripe effect, while natural variation means individual pieces may look different. Watch journalist Rebecca Doulton described the result as: “The effect is dramatic and ensures that each watch will be unique.” That is a description of the stone’s visual variation, not a guarantee about the appearance of any particular example.

The openworked dial adds a khaki-green mainplate and rotor, green-tinted sapphire elements, and orange-and-black striped frames around the sub-dials. Beige Super-LumiNova appears on the hands and indices, and a peripheral scale marks the chronograph’s 1/100-second readings. The combination is intentionally vivid rather than a restrained color treatment.

What are the case dimensions and water resistance?

Monochrome reports a titanium case measuring 45 mm across and 15.4 mm high, with 200 m water resistance. The case is brushed with polished accents and has a screw-down crown; sapphire crystals cover both the front and back.

These are substantial dimensions for a chronograph, so the Jungle is likely to wear as a large, prominent watch. The published 200 m rating describes the watch’s stated water resistance; it should not be read as a substitute for following Zenith’s operating and service guidance for a specific example.

How does the El Primero 9004 chronograph work?

The reported movement is Zenith’s automatic El Primero 9004. It uses separate regulating organs for normal timekeeping and the chronograph: the timekeeping regulator runs at 5 Hz (36,000 vibrations per hour), while the chronograph regulator runs at 50 Hz (360,000 vibrations per hour). This separation lets the chronograph measure hundredths of a second without making the timekeeping train run at the same frequency.

When the chronograph is engaged, its central hand makes one revolution per second, sweeping against the 1/100-second scale around the dial. The display also includes 30-minute and 60-second counters. Monochrome reports 50 hours of power reserve when the chronograph is disengaged; that qualification matters, since the stated reserve is not for continuous chronograph operation.

What straps are included?

Monochrome reports three supplied options: a titanium bracelet, a green embossed rubber strap with a titanium folding buckle, and a black Velcro strap. A push-button quick-change system on the caseback allows the wearer to switch straps without treating it as a conventional fixed bracelet setup.

How many Zenith Defy Extreme Jungle watches were made?

The launch report describes the edition as limited to 50 pieces. That is the stated production limit, not confirmation that any examples remain available for purchase now.

What was the Defy Extreme Jungle launch price?

Monochrome listed launch pricing of CHF 25,900 and EUR 28,000 in its 2024 article. Those are historical launch figures, not a current retail quote or an estimate of secondary-market value. Current inventory, pricing, seller quality and warranty terms have not been established here.

How does it compare with other Defy Extreme editions?

The Jungle can be compared with other Defy Extreme variants by looking at case material and dimensions, bezel and pusher materials, dial color and legibility, movement functions, water resistance, included straps and strap-change method, edition size, and price context. Monochrome identifies Desert and Glacier as the preceding environment-themed editions, but does not provide the side-by-side details needed to claim how their specifications differ.

For a focused search, use the full reported reference: Zenith Defy Extreme Jungle 95.9202.9004/26.I001. A reference number can help distinguish this edition from other Defy Extreme models, but it does not verify current stock or the condition and provenance of a listing.
