Yes. Why the 80-meter depth range and 200-meter rating differ
These figures describe different properties. ISO 200-meter water resistance is the watch’s stated water-resistance specification; the 0–80-meter figure is the range of its depth measurement function. The latter is not the watch’s pressure rating, and neither figure is an instruction or recommendation to dive to a particular depth. Follow your training, dive plan and the manufacturer’s instructions.

Does it replace a dive computer?
The listed depth, timer, surface-time, alarm and logging functions do not establish that the GWF-D1000BC-1 calculates decompression obligations or replaces a dive computer. Casio’s product specifications identify these watch functions but do not describe the model as a decompression computer. Do not infer decompression capability from its depth gauge, elapsed-time measurement, water-resistance rating or ascent-rate alarm. Use equipment and procedures appropriate to your training and dive plan.
Will it fit over a wetsuit?
Casio says the stainless-steel and bio-based-resin composite band has slide-adjustment and extension systems for wearing over a wetsuit. The watch itself is substantial: its case measures 59.2 × 53.3 × 18 mm and it weighs 181 g. Consider those dimensions and weight when deciding whether it will be comfortable and secure on your wrist and over your exposure suit.

For scuba use, the GWF-D1000BC-1 has a clearly stated ISO 200-meter water-resistance specification and purpose-built dive-watch functions. Treat it as a dive watch with an 80-meter depth-measurement range—not as evidence of decompression-computer capability—and use it in accordance with Casio’s instructions and your dive training.
