Isotope’s March 2024 “Will Return” release comprised two different objects: the 40 mm Hydrium X Will Return Red, an automatic wristwatch, and the 35 cm Wall Return, a quartz wall clock. The red watch reworks the idea rather than repeating the 2021 100-piece limited edition. The official catalog snapshot shows the watch as sold out/archived and lists the clock from £293; check Isotope’s current listings for availability and regional pricing.
How the 2024 release relates to the original Will Return
The design takes its cue from the familiar shop-door sign that indicates a temporary absence. The Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) describes the original Hydrium X “Will Return” as an interpretation of that sign in a diver’s-watch case. In March 2024, Isotope introduced the Hydrium X Will Return Red as a distinct redesign, not another production run of the 2021 edition. Fratello’s launch report says the new version retained the red-and-blue character but changed the arrangement and appearance of the hands and bezel; a light-blue strap also connects it to the earlier palette. What the Will Return Red watch offers
Fratello’s 2024 specifications give the watch a 40 mm diameter, 48 mm lug-to-lug length and 14.9 mm thickness including its double-domed sapphire crystal (12.9 mm without the crystal). The case is micro-blasted stainless steel, and the reported strap is 22 mm light-blue FKM rubber.
The reported Landeron 24 is an automatic movement with hand winding, 25 jewels, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, a 40-hour power reserve and stated accuracy of ±12 seconds per day. Fratello also lists a 120-click unidirectional bezel and a 300 m / 30 ATM water-resistance rating. These are published specifications, not independent test results. The rating is not, by itself, advice to dive with the watch; follow the manufacturer’s guidance for use and maintenance.

The GPHG’s 2021 record also gives the original Will Return a 40 mm case, 300 m water resistance and 40-hour power reserve, but those figures should not be used to fill gaps in the 2024 red model’s specifications. The 2024 details above are attributed to Fratello’s report.
What the Wall Return clock is
The Wall Return translates the sign-inspired design into a 35 cm wall clock, not a wearable watch. Timekeepers Club describes an aluminum case, Japanese-made quartz movement, full-lume dial and quiet, smoothly sweeping seconds hand. The smooth sweep and luminous dial carry over the visual language of the wristwatch, while the clock’s much larger format and quartz movement suit wall display and everyday timekeeping. The consulted release sources do not specify water resistance for the clock.
Release prices and availability
These are historical launch terms, not current offers. Fratello reported a £1,000 UK-tax-inclusive price for the Will Return Red and £174 for the Wall Return. Its report gave the watch’s preorder window as 09:00 GMT on March 4 through midnight GMT on March 10, 2024. Timekeepers Club described the initial clock run as individually numbered and said Isotope expected it to remain in the catalog afterward without that numbered special-edition case, at a higher unit price.

In the official Isotope catalog snapshot accessed October 7, 2026, “Hydrium X Will Return Red and Wall Return” appears sold out/archived at £0. That £0 is a catalog display for a sold-out/archive item, not a sale price. A separate “Wall Return and Exit Clock” listing appears from £293. Catalog listings do not guarantee live stock; confirm availability, regional pricing and shipping directly with Isotope’s catalog. - Choose the Will Return Red if you want a wearable automatic diver-style watch and prefer the revised red-and-blue interpretation. Its reported case diameter is 40 mm, and its strap is 22 mm wide.
- Choose the Wall Return if you want the design as a large-format clock for a wall. It uses quartz timekeeping and measures 35 cm across.
If considering a replacement or aftermarket strap for the watch, treat “22 mm FKM strap” as a starting point, not a compatibility guarantee. Check the strap’s end shape, buckle and attachment against the watch before ordering.
