The IWC Pilot’s Watch Automatic 41 Black Aces, reference IW326905, is a 41 mm black-ceramic pilot’s watch distinguished by a white dial made entirely from luminous material. IWC introduced it in 2023 in connection with the U.S. Navy’s VFA-41 “Black Aces” squadron. Its defining feature is the Lumicast dial: a solid disc of Super-LumiNova that IWC says glows greenish in darkness.
What is the IWC Black Aces watch?
IW326905 is a special edition of IWC’s Pilot’s Watch Automatic 41. IWC announced it on 28 August 2023 as part of a group of watches inspired by U.S. Navy squadrons. The brand’s product page now places the reference in its past collection, so that listing is not evidence of current stock or a current selling price.
The name refers to Strike Fighter Squadron 41, or VFA-41, known as the Black Aces. IWC says the squadron was formed in 1950 at Naval Air Station Oceana and is now based at Naval Air Station Lemoore in California. IWC’s Journal identifies its radio callsign as “Fast Eagle.” These are historical details as reported by IWC.
What makes the dial different?
The white dial is not simply a conventional dial coated with luminous paint. IWC describes it as a solid disc of Super-LumiNova, made using its Lumicast process. The material forms the dial itself, giving the face its bright white appearance in daylight and a greenish glow in darkness, according to IWC.

IWC Journal reports that the dial produced a bright greenish light for more than 23 hours in the brand’s dark-chamber tests. That is a manufacturer-reported test result, not an independent measurement or a guarantee of how long every wearer will perceive useful brightness under different conditions.
Against the luminous white face, the black ceramic case, dark hands and markers create a high-contrast pilot-watch layout. The launch model’s caseback was described by IWC as lightweight titanium engraved with a Black Aces twin-engine jet against spades.

Movement and practical features
Caliber 32100 is an automatic movement manufactured by IWC. The stated 72-hour power reserve means the watch can run for up to three days off the wrist when fully wound, subject to use and operating conditions. Central hacking seconds stop the seconds hand when the crown is pulled, allowing the time to be set more precisely.
The soft-iron inner case is intended to protect the movement from magnetic fields. IWC does not specify a numerical magnetic-resistance rating on the cited product page, so the feature should not be read as a quantified guarantee against every magnetic source.

IWC lists water resistance at 6 bar and a screwed-in crown. This is a stated specification, not a substitute for checking the watch’s condition and seals before water exposure, especially on a pre-owned example.

IWC described IW326905 as available exclusively online at IWC.com when it launched in 2023. The product page’s past-collection status does not establish whether a retailer or pre-owned seller has one for sale now; availability and asking prices require a current listing.

At launch, IWC said owners could register the watch under My IWC care to extend the standard two-year International Limited Warranty by six years. Those were launch-era terms and should not be assumed to describe the current warranty or the coverage attached to a particular watch.
