What the specifications mean for everyday wear
Case size and material
The 40 mm diameter and 10.8 mm height describe the watch’s listed case dimensions. Titanium is the specified case material; the source does not provide a case-weight figure. The brown calfskin strap gives the otherwise utilitarian pilot-watch design a warmer, vintage-leaning appearance.

Movement and functions
Calibre 35111 is automatic, with a date and central seconds hand that can be stopped for precise setting. IWC lists its frequency as 4 Hz and its power reserve as 42 hours; the reserve is a specification, not a guarantee of an individual watch’s current running condition.
Water and magnetic-field protection
IWC rates the watch to 6 bar and describes a soft-iron inner case for protection against magnetic fields. The rating alone does not establish a specific swimming or diving recommendation. The instruction manual says, “Your watch is water-resistant 6 bar,” and states that the crystal is secured against displacement when air pressure drops. Choosing an alternate strap
IWC specifies a 20 mm strap width, which is a sensible starting point when looking for a replacement or a different look. That measurement does not guarantee that every strap sold as 20 mm will fit the watch: check its attachment style and lug-end shape against the watch before buying. The listed buckle width is 18 mm, a separate measurement from the strap width. The supplied brown calfskin strap is the manufacturer-listed option; IWC’s specification does not establish compatibility or endorsement of any third-party strap.

For a specific watch, confirm that the reference matches, inspect the case and crystal, check the strap and buckle, and ask for service records and evidence that its functions work. A 6 bar rating in the specification is not proof that a pre-owned watch remains water-resistant today.
