Jacob & Co. introduced The World Is Yours Dual Time Zone in 2023 as the first watch in a collection inspired by a family heirloom: the Wakmann dual-time watch Jacob Arabo’s father gave him when he was 13. The new watch turns that origin story into a functional two-time-zone display, housed in a 43 mm rose-gold case and limited at launch to 999 pieces.

The Wakmann watch behind The World Is Yours

According to Jacob & Co.’s September 2023 launch announcement, republished by Europa Star, Jacob Arabo received a dual-time Wakmann from his father, Nison Arabov, when he was 13. The heirloom stayed in the family and became the inspiration for The World Is Yours collection. The announcement calls it “the watch that started it all.”

Independent watch publication Time+Tide also described the 2023 model as the collection’s debut. The connection is more than a name: the new watch’s two time displays echo the dual-time function of the Wakmann, while the globe motif gives the model its own visual identity.

How the dual-time display works

Two separate subdials show hours and minutes for two time zones. Each can be adjusted independently, down to the minute, while a central compass- or wind-rose-shaped hand indicates small seconds. That minute-level setting is useful for places whose time differs from UTC by a half-hour or another non-hour increment. Jacob & Co.’s launch announcement gives India Standard Time (UTC+05:30) as an example; it is the brand’s illustration, not a claim of independent testing.

Case, dial and launch specifications

The original 2023 configuration pairs an 18K rose-gold case with a blue lacquered dial. Rose-gold-finished continents are stamped onto the dial, and the release describes both the dial and sapphire crystal as domed. Time+Tide further identifies the dial plate as brass and describes the case as highly polished.

Specification 2023 launch model
Case 18K rose gold; 43 mm diameter and 14 mm height, according to Jacob & Co.’s launch specifications
Crystal Domed sapphire with anti-reflective treatment
Dial Blue lacquer with stamped, rose-gold-finished continents
Strap and buckle Blue alligator leather strap and rose-gold pin buckle
Water resistance 30 m, according to the 2023 launch specifications
Functions Two independently adjustable time-zone displays for hours and minutes; central small seconds

Inside: the self-winding JCAA11

The watch is powered by Jacob & Co.’s manufacture JCAA11, a self-winding movement. The following figures are the launch specifications published by the brand and cross-reported by Time+Tide; they are not results of an independent accuracy or performance test.

  • Diameter: 29.50 mm
  • Height: 6.80 mm
  • Components: 206
  • Jewels: 33
  • Power reserve: 42 hours
  • Frequency: 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz)

Launch edition and price: what the figures mean

Jacob & Co. announced a limited run of 999 pieces and a launch price of US$57,000 in 2023. Time+Tide reported the same edition size and launch price. Those figures describe the original launch terms; they do not establish current stock or a universal present-day price.

When accessed on October 8, 2026, Watches of Switzerland displayed $80,000 for reference DT100.40.AA.AA.ABALA, described as a 43 mm, 18K rose-gold, blue-dial model. The retailer page indicated the product could be unavailable and offered notification. This is a dated retailer listing, not an official current manufacturer price; its price and availability can change.

How to compare listings for this watch

A similar collection name alone does not guarantee that another listing has the same specification or price. When comparing this launch model with another colorway, material variant, collaboration or seller page, check:

  • Reference number and whether it identifies the same configuration
  • Case material and dimensions
  • Dial and strap details
  • Movement and functions
  • Edition status and stated production limit
  • Price source, date and geography

The launch announcement is the clearest source for the family story and original specifications; Time+Tide provides independent reporting on the debut, while a retailer page is useful for its own listing details only. None of these figures establishes measured accuracy, owner experience or current market-wide availability.
