The Jaeger-LeCoultre Duomètre Quantième Lunaire Q604848J is a 2024 steel model with a blue gradient dial, manual-winding movement and a moon-phase display. Its defining feature is the Duomètre architecture: separate gear trains for timekeeping and complications, connected to a shared regulating organ. Jaeger-LeCoultre’s US page displayed a price of US$49,500 excluding taxes on October 7, 2026; pricing varies by region and may change.
What is the Q604848J?
Jaeger-LeCoultre introduced the steel Quantième Lunaire as part of a trio of Duomètre models launched in 2024. The manufacturer describes it as the first Duomètre offered in steel. Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie presents the case as a contemporary interpretation of 19th-century hunter pocket watches and describes its construction as comprising 34 parts. That case-part count is separate from the movement’s 414 components.
The reference is listed as JLQ604848J, also written Q604848J. Its 42.5 mm stainless-steel case houses the hand-wound Calibre 381AA. On the dial, three sub-dials form an inverted pyramid against a gradient blue background with opaline, satin, circular blue and sunray finishes. The case combines polished, brushed and microblasted surfaces, with screwed lugs.
What makes the Duomètre Quantième Lunaire different?
Jaeger-LeCoultre dates its patented Duomètre mechanism to 2007. In the manufacturer’s explanation, two barrels feed separate gear trains: one for timekeeping and one for the complications. The trains are linked to one regulating organ. This is the brand’s description of the movement design, not independent evidence that the watch is more accurate than other watches.
