The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor Diving Chronograph GMT Navy SEALs Q178T677 is a limited-edition titanium diver combining an automatic chronograph with a second time zone, date and day/night indication. Auction records identify 46 mm examples from around 2010; specialist listings give the titanium model a 1,000-meter water-resistance rating. For a pre-owned watch, that published rating is not proof that the individual watch is still safe to use in water.
What is the Q178T677?
Q178T677 identifies the titanium version of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Master Compressor Diving Chronograph GMT Navy SEALs. Sotheby’s catalogued a circa-2010 example as a limited-edition dual-time-zone chronograph with date and day/night indication. Its example was numbered 208 of 1,500, measured 46 mm in diameter and came on a black Jaeger-LeCoultre rubber bracelet with a double folding clasp. Sotheby’s catalogue
Bonhams later catalogued another example, numbered 629/1,500, as a titanium dual-time calendar chronograph diver. Its April 2011 sale record provides additional movement details. Bonhams catalogue
The watch has a large titanium case, black dial and chronograph registers. Those documented details establish its instrument-like design, but case diameter alone cannot tell you how it will fit your wrist.

Movement and functions
The automatic Jaeger-LeCoultre caliber 757 powers the chronograph and second-time-zone display. The model’s documented indications also include a date and day/night display, making the GMT function useful for distinguishing whether it is day or night in the second time zone. Sotheby’s identifies the complications; Bonhams lists a 45-jewel caliber 757 and a 65-hour power reserve. The jewel count and reserve are auction-catalogue specifications, not figures confirmed here against a current manufacturer technical sheet. Sotheby’s catalogue · Bonhams catalogue
Water resistance: what the 1,000-meter rating does—and does not—mean
Specialist listings report 1,000 meters of water resistance for the titanium Q178T677. Jackroad also lists a Grade 5 titanium case and ceramic bezel. These are published model specifications; they do not establish the pressure integrity of a particular pre-owned watch. Jackroad’s Q178T677 listing

How the Navy SEALs variants differ
“Navy SEALs” appears across multiple Master Compressor Diving models, so the name alone is not enough to identify the watch or transfer specifications between versions.

The steel 2018670 is a different, simpler watch—not another name for the Q178T677. TheWatchObserver’s June 9, 2010 review gives that steel model a 42 mm case, caliber 899, 43-hour reserve and a French recommended price of €6,250 at the time. Those historical specifications and price do not apply to the titanium GMT chronograph, whose launch price is not established here. TheWatchObserver’s 2010 review
