How is the case constructed?
TAG Heuer says the 41 mm case is grade 5 titanium made using Selective Laser Melting, an additive-manufacturing process in which laser technology fuses powdered titanium layer by layer. The brand describes the resulting hollowed geometry as difficult to produce conventionally and says it is designed to optimize airflow while reducing weight. Those are manufacturer descriptions; the published material provides no independent aerodynamic test or comparative weight measurement. A solid 18K 2N yellow-gold honeycomb structure, cut by laser, sits within the case design. A matching gold split-seconds pusher is positioned at 9 o’clock. The bezel and pushers are black DLC-coated titanium. The openworked dial and transparent sapphire caseback expose the movement.

What movement and timing functions does it have?
The automatic Calibre TH81-00 is a split-seconds chronograph. A rattrapante mechanism lets the wearer time two intervals that start together but can be stopped separately. TAG Heuer Official Magazine describes it as enabling “split-seconds timing, capturing dual intervals with mechanical elegance.” The manufacturer calls the caliber its most complex mechanical movement; the magazine describes it as TAG Heuer’s most complex chronograph movement.
