It is a city-themed version of the Reverso Classic Monoface Small Seconds, created by Jaeger-LeCoultre with MR PORTER. Time+Tide’s 30 November 2023 article identifies it by reference JLQ385852E and describes it as one of three then-current city editions, alongside Los Angeles and Singapore.
What does the Sydney edition’s caseback show?
The Reverso’s swivelling case is the natural canvas for the collaboration’s city motif. The engraved reverse depicts Sydney Harbour, including the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge, in what Time+Tide described as an Art Deco-esque treatment.
The front is more restrained: the 2023 article describes a silvered guilloché dial with Arabic numerals, blued hands and a small-seconds display at 6 o’clock. It reports a calf-leather strap by Casa Fagliano.

The hand-wound movement and small-seconds display suit the classic Reverso format; the watch’s distinctive city identity is on the reverse rather than the dial.
How Sydney fits into the city-edition series
In its 2023 coverage, Time+Tide grouped Sydney with Los Angeles and Singapore. The Los Angeles engraving was described as a skyline with the Santa Monica Mountains; Singapore’s showed Marina Bay Sands and the ArtScience Museum. That article also placed these releases after earlier city-themed Reversos bearing New York, London and Hong Kong engravings.
MR PORTER’s circa-2022 retrospective covered a separate anniversary collection of five Reverso Classic models for New York, London, Paris, Milan and Hong Kong. It reported 10 watches per city for that earlier collection. That count does not establish the production quantity of the Sydney edition: Time+Tide said in 2023 that the Sydney run had not been disclosed.

What was reported about launch price and availability?
Time+Tide reported a launch price of A$20,000 and said the watch was available exclusively online through MR PORTER at the time of its 30 November 2023 article. Those are dated launch details, not confirmation of today’s price, stock or retail channel. Current availability for reference JLQ385852E is not established here.

Jaeger-LeCoultre’s current Australian Reverso Tribute Geographic is a different watch, not another name for the Sydney collaboration. The brand’s product page describes that model with a 49.4 × 29.9 mm steel case and a world-time function, and lists AU$35,900. Its April 2025 press release concerns the Geographic as well: it reports Calibre 834 with a 42-hour power reserve and 209 components, and a 150-piece limit for the pink-gold variant. None of those Geographic details apply to the Sydney reference.
