Which dial belongs to each reference?
SPB457: blue
Official Seiko listings identify SPB457J1 as blue. The UK product sheet uses the name “Preppy Blue,” while the European boutique describes the dial as light blue. See the UK specification sheet and European product page.
SPB461: burgundy
The UK boutique identifies SPB461J1 as “Preppy Burgundy.” Its product sheet is the source for that reference’s published specifications and displayed UK RRP: SPB461J1 product sheet.

SPB459: verify the exact variant listing
The official Philippines page confirms SPB459J1 and its specifications, but its accessed text does not provide a definitive dial-color mapping. Seiko’s collection page discusses three dial treatments inspired by Kameido without clearly assigning all three descriptions to these references. If color is decisive, confirm it against the seller’s exact SPB459J1 listing and product images rather than assuming a color from another reference or an unsourced listing. Official SPB459J1 listing.
Case size and wrist fit
All three references are listed at 36.1 mm in diameter, 43 mm from lug to lug, and 11.6 mm thick. The diameter is compact relative to many contemporary sports watches, but diameter alone does not determine how a watch wears: lug-to-lug span, thickness, wrist shape and personal preference also matter. These dimensions are useful for comparison, not a guarantee of fit; try one on if possible.

Each listing gives a 19 mm lug width and describes the band as quick-release/interchangeable. That makes a 19 mm strap an obvious option to investigate, but nominal width alone does not guarantee that a third-party strap’s ends, spring bars or finish will suit the case. Confirm compatibility before buying.

Seiko lists caliber 6R51 for all three. Official boutique specification sheets state a 72-hour power reserve; Seiko’s collection page describes the related 6R family as offering approximately 70 hours. These are manufacturer figures, not independent timing or reserve tests. The listings also specify 10 bar water resistance. Treat that as a published rating, not as a substitute for checking the watch’s condition and care instructions before water exposure.

The available official specifications do not establish a meaningful movement difference among SPB457, SPB459 and SPB461. Seiko’s product listings state an accuracy tolerance of +25/-15 seconds per day, but that is a specification, not a measured result for an individual watch; see the SPB457J1 and SPB461J1 product sheets.
Design and KSK background
Seiko traces the KSK design to the King Seiko launch in 1965 and presents the collection as a continuation of that design language. Its account highlights the broad patterned 12 o’clock index, sharply shaped case, faceted lugs with mirror and hairline finishing, box-shaped sapphire crystal and bracelet surfaces that echo the original series. This is Seiko’s own description of the design heritage; it is not an independent historical assessment. Seiko’s positioning line is “The lasting design values of 1965. The same collection page connects the dial patterns and color gradations to Kameido, Tokyo, and describes inspirations including plum blossoms, wisteria and the Sumida River. Because the official collection text does not clearly assign every motif to each reference, those descriptions should not be used to infer a specific SPB459 color or pattern.
