The Krayon Anywhere Arborea Métiers d’Art 2024 pairs a Swiss-made, hand-painted miniature inspired by Henri Rousseau’s The Virgin Forest at Sunset with a mechanical display of sunrise, sunset, day and night for a location chosen by the wearer. Krayon announced the platinum watch on October 16, 2024, as a limited edition of 15 pieces.
What makes the Anywhere Arborea distinctive?
Its two central ideas meet on one dial: a miniature-painted interpretation of a jungle scene and Krayon’s location-based sunrise-and-sunset complication. The painting is described by Krayon as crafted in Switzerland and as a contemporary reinterpretation of Rousseau’s The Virgin Forest at Sunset. The brand’s October 16, 2024 release says the complication shows the length of the day and sunrise and sunset times for a location selected by the wearer anywhere in the world.
The scene is not simply a decorative backdrop. It shares the dial with indications that communicate the passage of time through the day and across the calendar. Krayon does not provide an accuracy tolerance or operating instructions in the reviewed release, so the stated function should not be read as a claim about a particular level of precision or a specific location-setting procedure.
What does the Krayon Anywhere complication display?
The watch combines central hours and minutes with indications for day and night, sunrise and sunset, 24-hour time, calendar, and month. The sunrise and sunset indications are calculated for the location selected by the wearer, according to Krayon. A simple calendar appears at 6 o’clock.

- Day and night: a visual indication of the day/night cycle.
- 24-hour time: an additional indication alongside the central hours and minutes.
- Calendar and month: calendar information on the dial, including the simple calendar at 6 o’clock.
These functions make the watch more than a conventional time-and-date display: its defining complication is intended to show how daylight changes at a wearer-selected place. Krayon’s release does not specify the adjustment process or quantify the display’s precision.

Price and availability
Fratello Watches reported on October 16, 2024, that it was told the price was CHF 178,000 at a London event. That is reported launch-price context, not a current confirmed offer: Krayon’s reviewed release establishes the 15-piece edition but does not confirm a present-day price, stock, or authorized purchase channel.
