What makes the “Coquille d’œuf” different?
The defining feature is its eggshell-tone dial, made from three separate components. Lebois & Co says Donzé Cadrans produces the dial in Le Locle, Switzerland, using Grand Feu enamel fired at more than 800 °C. The brand describes the surface as layered; enamel-based inks are printed on it and fired again. Each dial can show organic variation, so the finish is not intended to look mechanically identical from one watch to the next. These are the manufacturer’s descriptions of the process, rather than the result of an independent production inspection.
The name “Coquille d’œuf” refers to the dial’s eggshell color. The chronograph layout and the rest of the watch sit within Lebois & Co’s Heritage Chronograph Atelier line. The company describes the wider Heritage Chronograph as a community-developed reissue inspired by vintage chronographs, a point presented in its 2025 company material rather than independent historical documentation.
How does the souscription and ordering work?
On its current product page, Lebois & Co marks Souscription 2026 as closed and gives September 2026 as the estimated delivery date for that allocation. The date is an estimate, not a guarantee. The same page invites visitors to register interest in a 2027 souscription limited to 25 pieces. Interest registration should not be mistaken for an open order or confirmed reservation.

Case size, thickness and water resistance
Lebois & Co lists a 316L stainless-steel case measuring 39 mm across, 47.35 mm from lug to lug and 20 mm between the lugs. The stated lug width is useful if you are considering a replacement strap, but check the strap’s end shape and buckle dimensions rather than assuming every 20 mm strap will fit or suit the watch.

The official specification gives the thickness as 14.3 mm including the double-domed sapphire crystal, or 10.9 mm without it. Fratello’s November 5, 2025 launch article lists 13.9 mm. The figures differ, so treat them as source-specific rather than combining them into a single agreed measurement.
Water resistance is listed as 5 ATM/50 m. That rating is not a claim of professional dive-watch suitability; follow the manufacturer’s guidance for use around water, especially given the watch’s chronograph pushers and service needs.

Movement and chronograph specifications
Lebois & Co identifies the caliber as its LC-450: a mechanical, hand-wound chronograph with a column wheel, 23 jewels, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and a stated power reserve of 60 hours. Those are manufacturer specifications, not independently measured performance figures.
Fratello’s launch coverage identifies La Joux-Perret as the movement maker and discusses finishing details. The manufacturer’s captured product specifications name the caliber but do not identify its maker, so the attribution to La Joux-Perret comes from that independent launch report.

Who is this watch for?
The strongest reason to consider reference 324.551 is its enamel dial: the three-part, high-temperature process makes the dial the central craft feature, and natural variation is part of the appeal described by the brand. The 39 mm diameter is relatively restrained on paper, while the 47.35 mm lug-to-lug measurement and 14.3 mm official thickness including crystal are also worth weighing against your wrist and preferences.
At €9,800, the decision is less about buying a conventional steel chronograph and more about whether the enamel craft, limited annual allocation and specific design justify the price to you. There is no independent hands-on assessment or movement test in the cited launch information; prospective buyers should arrange a viewing if fit, finishing or operation are decisive.
