Public appearances have linked Lionel Messi with watches from Patek Philippe, Rolex, Audemars Piguet and Jacob & Co. The watches are worth millions collectively only as a broad description of reported estimates: no authoritative public inventory confirms which pieces Messi owns, how many he has, or the collection’s total value.
What is known about Messi’s watch collection?
Watch-media and retailer roundups identify several high-end watches Messi has been seen wearing. That is evidence of a sighting, not proof of ownership. The strongest public account of the limitation, Financial Express’s 2026 roundup, says its reporting relies mainly on public appearances rather than confirmation from Messi or his team.
No reviewed source establishes a complete inventory or a verified total value. One publisher’s $10–14 million figure is explicitly a rough secondary-market estimate for its list of 17 watches, not an audited valuation; other coverage gives different figures or no total. Adding estimates drawn from different dates and price types would create a misleadingly precise answer.
Which watches have been associated with Messi?
The table distinguishes reported sightings from the price claims attached to the watches. Estimates are not confirmed prices paid by Messi, and a reference-level auction result does not establish the value of his own example.

| Watch | What has been reported | Price figure and what it means |
|---|---|---|
| Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711/1A-018 “Tiffany Blue” | Reported sightings associate Messi with this reference. | $6.5 million was the December 2021 Phillips auction result for an example of the reference. It does not show that Messi’s watch was the one sold or that he received that amount. |
| Patek Philippe Grand Complications 5531R | Financial Express reports photographs of Messi wearing the reference. | Financial Express cited a near-$9 million estimate in 2026, tied to the model’s rarity—not a confirmed sale of Messi’s example. |
| Rolex Daytona “Barbie” | Financial Express describes a sighting of an off-catalogue, gem-set Daytona. The nickname and exact variant should not be treated as officially confirmed. | Financial Express reported an estimate around $900,000 in 2026, based on dealer estimates; Rolex does not publish catalog prices for such off-catalogue pieces. |
| Rolex Day-Date | Financial Express identifies a green-dial, Everose-gold reference in its reporting. | Its reported estimate was around $65,700 in 2026. This is not a confirmed purchase price or appraisal of a personally owned watch. |
| Jacob & Co. Epic X Chrono “Messi” edition | Coverage identifies this as a co-branded edition with Messi-associated design details. That collaboration is a more concrete link than an assumption based only on a photograph. | Financial Express estimated a gem-set variant at about $181,500 in 2026. WatchesOff5th discusses a broader retail-price range across editions; the variant estimate should not be applied to every model in the line. |
Other lists include additional Patek Philippe, Rolex and Audemars Piguet references. Those roundups provide leads about reported sightings, but their breadth does not make them a verified inventory. For example, WatchGuys, WatchesOff5th and The Watch Connect publish their own lists and market figures; treat these as secondary reporting, not confirmation from Messi or the brands.
Why do published values differ?
Articles often put unlike numbers side by side: an auction result for one example, a retail price, a dealer estimate, or a secondary-market range. These answer different questions and can change with date, variant, condition and market. A single auction price for a rare reference is not automatically the market value of every example, much less a valuation of Messi’s watch.

- Auction result: what a particular example sold for at a specified auction and date.
- Retail price: a listed price for a particular model or edition; it may not apply to a different variant.
- Dealer estimate or resale range: an opinion or market snapshot, not a documented transaction involving Messi.
- Collection total: only meaningful if the inventory and valuation method are established. Neither is publicly verified here.
What does the $6.5 million Nautilus figure actually mean?
Phillips reported a $6.5 million result for a Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711/1A-018 at its December 2021 New York auction. That is a notable auction result for the reference, not evidence that Messi’s own watch was auctioned, that the auctioned watch belonged to him, or that his example is worth that amount today. Phillips’ auction listing identifies the sale itself.

The reported models and estimates support describing the watches associated with Messi as a multi-million-dollar group in broad terms. They do not support a precise total for his personal collection. Financial Express says no verified total is available, while WatchesOff5th’s $10–14 million sum is its own rough secondary-market estimate for 17 watches. The reviewed reporting does not settle ownership, complete count, or the value of any individual Messi-owned example.
