Which Longines Skin Diver is this?
The name most plausibly refers to the Longines Heritage Skin Diver reference family L2.822.4.56.2, L2.822.4.56.6 and L2.822.4.56.9. Longines introduced the watch in 2018 as a modern interpretation of a 1959 diver. The case or papers should be shown where possible: confirming the reference helps distinguish it from other Longines divers.

The Skin Diver has one crown and a visible external timing bezel. The Legend Diver has a different layout, with two crowns and an internal rotating bezel. They are separate models, so Legend Diver specifications should not be used as if they describe the Skin Diver. Longines’ Heritage collection page currently surfaces Legend Diver models; that does not establish a formal Skin Diver discontinuation date or rule out remaining stock.
What the video review should show
Bezel and crown
Demonstrate the reviewed specimen’s external bezel operation, grip and alignment rather than relying on the model name or appearance. Show the single crown and how it is handled. Describe only what the video establishes about that particular watch.

On-wrist fit
The reported case diameter is 42 mm, but diameter alone cannot establish how the watch looks or feels on a particular wrist. Show it worn and state the reviewer’s wrist size if making a fit judgment. The case shape, strap or bracelet, and wearer’s preference all matter.
Dial and lume
To support claims about readability, show the dial clearly and film lume in a controlled low-light scene. A specification or vintage-inspired design does not, by itself, prove how easily a specific example can be read in changing light.

Strap or bracelet
The 2018 configurations reported by Time and Watches included a black rubber strap, a brown leather strap, and a Milanese-style steel bracelet. Identify which one is on the reviewed watch; the options should not be treated as interchangeable in feel or use. Leather is not an underwater-use strap recommendation.
Skin Diver specifications reported for the 2018 model
Time and Watches reported the following historical specifications. Confirm the exact reference and production version before applying every detail to an individual watch.

These are reported product specifications, not measurements of the watch in the video. They do not establish the reviewed specimen’s current water resistance, accuracy, service history or condition. A water-resistance rating should not be taken as proof that an older or pre-owned example is safe to submerge now.
Skin Diver versus Legend Diver
The Legend Diver is a useful comparison only when clearly identified as a different model line. Its internal bezel and two-crown arrangement change how the timing bezel is accessed and operated compared with the Skin Diver’s external bezel and single crown.

The Legend Diver prices are regional, configuration-specific listed prices and may change; they are not Skin Diver prices. Longines announced a 39 mm Legend Diver on 2023-11-16 and collection updates on 2025-06-05. Those releases concern the Legend Diver line, not a Skin Diver relaunch.

A video can document the specimen’s visible condition and demonstrate its controls, but claims about accuracy, water resistance or long-term wear require evidence beyond historical product specifications. A 2018 listing cannot verify whether a particular watch has been serviced, damaged or pressure-tested since manufacture. If the review discusses these points, it should identify the source of any test or service record rather than imply that it was performed.

Availability is similarly uncertain: the current Heritage collection page inspected surfaces Legend Diver models, but that neither confirms a formal discontinuation date nor proves no Skin Diver examples remain for sale. Check the exact reference, condition, seller, strap configuration and return or warranty terms before treating a remaining-stock or pre-owned listing as the same watch.
