Its U.S. launch price was $59.99; a February 24, 2026 report noted a temporary price below $50, but that is not a guaranteed current price. The catch is decisive: the Fit3 does not work with iPhones. At a genuine discount, it is a good basic tracker for compatible Android phones—not a Galaxy Watch replacement.
What the Galaxy Fit3 is—and what it is not
The Galaxy Fit3 is a lightweight fitness band, not a Wear OS smartwatch. It runs a Fit3 software platform and has 16MB of memory and 256MB of storage. Its job is to track everyday activity and wellness, show notifications and offer simple phone controls—not run the broad app ecosystem or provide the phone-free capabilities of a full smartwatch.
Samsung introduced the Fit3 in the U.S. at $59.99. A deal article published February 24, 2026, reported a temporary price under $50. That report is a dated sale signal, not a live quote: check the retailer’s current price, stock, shipping, seller, condition and return policy before buying. Samsung’s U.S. launch announcement; Phandroid’s February 24, 2026 deal report.
As a practical price guide—not a statement of current retail pricing—under $50 is compelling for a compatible Android user; around $60 can still make sense if the screen and Samsung Health integration matter. Above $70–$80, compare competing bands and discounted full smartwatches rather than assuming the Fit3 is the best value.

What it tracks and what the health features mean
Samsung lists heart-rate measurement and high- and low-heart-rate alerts, stress and blood-oxygen measurements, sleep monitoring, menstrual-cycle tracking, automatic workout detection and more than 100 exercise types. It also supports notifications, preset text replies, media controls, fall detection and SOS. Camera control is available with certain Galaxy phones. Feature availability can depend on the paired phone, settings and region. Samsung’s feature and support information.
| Capability | Fit3 support | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Activity and workouts | Yes | Samsung lists more than 100 exercise types and automatic workout detection; this is not a promise of advanced sports analysis. |
| Heart rate | Yes | Wellness measurement and alerts, not a medical diagnosis. |
| Blood oxygen | Yes | A consumer wearable measurement, not medical-grade pulse oximetry or a diagnosis. |
| Sleep and stress | Yes | Wellness features; use Samsung Health to review data. |
| Menstrual-cycle tracking | Yes | Listed by Samsung as a tracking feature. |
| Fall detection and SOS | Yes | Availability and operation depend on pairing, connectivity, permissions, configuration and regional support; they do not guarantee emergency response. |
| ECG | No | Samsung says the Fit3 cannot measure ECG. |
| Body composition | No | Samsung says the Fit3 cannot measure body composition. |
Heart rate, oxygen saturation, sleep and stress readings are wellness information, not a substitute for clinical equipment or medical advice. Do not rely on the band to diagnose or rule out a health condition.
Display, battery and durability
The Fit3 has a 1.6-inch AMOLED display with a 256 × 402 resolution. The body weighs 36.8g without the band and measures 42.9 × 28.8 × 9.9mm. Its listed hardware includes a 208mAh battery, Bluetooth 5.3, an accelerometer, barometer, gyroscope, optical heart-rate sensor and light sensor. Samsung lists an IP68 rating and 5ATM water resistance. Samsung’s detailed Fit3 specifications.

Battery life depends on how you use it
Samsung rates the Fit3 for up to 13 days under its stated usage conditions, with Always-On Display disabled and a connected Galaxy phone. Samsung’s product information says enabling Always-On Display can reduce the stated endurance to approximately 3.5 days. These are company figures, not a guarantee for every owner; brightness, notifications, workouts, heart-rate settings, sleep tracking, Bluetooth behavior, battery age and temperature also affect runtime. Water resistance has limits
IP68 and 5ATM are ratings, not a claim that the band is waterproof in every situation. Follow Samsung’s current care guidance, and do not assume the ratings cover diving, high-pressure water, hot tubs or chemical exposure.
Compatibility: Android only
The Fit3 requires a phone running Android 10 or later and is not compatible with iPhones. Samsung recommends Galaxy Wearable for pairing and Samsung Health for health and activity data. Supported devices and functions may vary by region, carrier and phone brand; some features, including camera control and certain emergency functions, require a compatible Galaxy phone. “Android compatible” does not mean every feature works identically on every Android handset. Before buying, check the Fit3’s support for your phone and region, especially if you expect a particular safety, camera or data-sync feature.
How to set up the Galaxy Fit3
Have a compatible Android phone, Bluetooth enabled, the Galaxy Wearable app, a Samsung account and Samsung Health ready. Keep the phone and band software and apps current. Samsung’s pairing instructions are available here.

One-click scans. No signup required.
- Press and hold the Fit3’s Power button to turn it on.
- If the phone displays an automatic pairing prompt, follow it. If not, open the Galaxy Wearable app.
- In Galaxy Wearable, tap Menu, then tap the plus sign to scan for a device.
- Select Galaxy Fit3.
- Check that the number on the band matches the number on the phone, then tap Confirm.
If pairing does not work, charge and restart the band, toggle Bluetooth off and on, and update Galaxy Wearable and Samsung Health. Remove an existing Fit3 pairing in the phone’s Bluetooth settings, then try adding it again through Galaxy Wearable. Treat a factory reset as a last resort because it can erase local data or settings; consult the current manual for the exact reset path.

GPS and the features a fitness band cannot replace
Samsung’s published Fit3 sensor list includes an accelerometer, barometer, gyroscope, optical heart-rate sensor and light sensor, but does not list a GPS sensor. The Fit3 is therefore not positioned as a standalone GPS sports watch. If you need route tracking, check how it works with your particular phone and app setup before buying; do not assume the band can record routes independently.
The Fit3 is also not the right device if you need a full smartwatch app ecosystem, LTE, phone-free calling, offline navigation or advanced training and recovery analysis. Samsung explicitly says it does not measure ECG or body composition. Those seeking advanced running or cycling metrics, or medical measurements, should look for a device designed and verified for that need rather than infer capability from the Fit3’s workout count.
Galaxy Fit3 versus a Galaxy Watch or other bands
| If your priority is… | Consider | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A low-cost Samsung band for everyday tracking | Galaxy Fit3 | Its focus is core activity, sleep, heart rate, notifications and a bright AMOLED display. |
| Apps and fuller smartwatch functions | Galaxy Watch | A Galaxy Watch is the more appropriate category when you want a smartwatch rather than a basic band. |
| iPhone compatibility | Apple Watch or a cross-platform tracker such as Fitbit | The Fit3 does not support iPhone. |
| GPS-led training and detailed sports analysis | A GPS-focused watch from Garmin or another sports-watch maker | Check the specific model’s GPS, training metrics and navigation features. |
| Another band in the budget category | Fitbit Inspire 3, Xiaomi Smart Band or Amazfit Band 7 | Compare current price, phone support, app features, warranty and regional availability; these are candidates, not verified current deals. |
For comparisons, consult the makers’ product pages: Fitbit Inspire 3, Xiaomi Smart Band 10, Amazfit Band 7 and Samsung Galaxy Watch FE. Their availability, prices and feature or subscription terms can change, so compare the details for your country and phone rather than treating them as direct equivalents.
Who should buy the Galaxy Fit3?
- Android users who want a relatively inexpensive band for steps, sleep, heart rate, workouts and notifications.
- Samsung Galaxy owners who already use Samsung Health and value closer integration.
- Buyers who prefer a readable AMOLED display and longer claimed battery life over app depth and smartwatch independence.
- Casual exercisers who do not need standalone GPS or advanced training analysis.
Who should skip it—and what to check before checkout
- Skip it if you use an iPhone, need a full smartwatch, or require GPS without carrying a phone.
- Choose another device if you need LTE, phone-free calling, advanced sports metrics, ECG or body-composition measurements.
- For a marketplace or imported listing, verify the exact model, seller, new versus renewed condition, regional warranty, return policy and shipping cost.
- Compare the Fit3’s live price with alternatives. If it is only slightly cheaper than a fuller smartwatch and you want smartwatch functions, the lower-cost band may not be the better value.
Samsung’s U.S. launch price and the reported 2026 discount are not substitutes for checking today’s listing. Use Samsung’s official Galaxy Fit3 page to confirm the product, then check the retailer’s final price and terms.
