The collaboration was limited to 200 pieces and launched at US$499. It is distinct from Lorier’s standard Astra, relaunched in 2026 with a conventional dial and different movement and crystal.
What is the Lorier Astra Stargazer?
Announced on September 30, 2024, the Astra Stargazer was Lorier and Worn & Wound’s third collaboration. Its 36 mm stainless-steel case is paired with a cosmic-gray dial designed around the idea of looking into space. The dial’s concentric marks and 12 crossing lines form a backdrop for the watch’s kinetic time display. Lorier and Worn & Wound’s launch announcement describes the design; Fratello’s contemporary coverage corroborates key launch specifications.
How does the Stargazer tell time?
Rather than relying on conventional central hour and minute hands, the Stargazer uses moving indicators that reinforce its orbiting, space-inspired theme:
- Hours: A luminous triangle at the center rotates to indicate the hour.
- Minutes: A skeletonized circular indicator travels around the center once per hour. A broad luminous band divides the dial as part of the display.
- Seconds: A three-spoke seconds hand completes the indication.

The edition size, original price and expected shipping date are historical launch terms, not a statement of current stock or pricing. The announcement said the watch would be available through Windup Watch Shop. Current Stargazer inventory and resale values have not been established here.

Is the 2026 Lorier Astra the same watch?
No. Lorier’s standard Astra, relaunched in 2026, is a separate model—not a renamed Stargazer. Its conventional dial and specification set differ from the 2024 collaboration. Lorier’s current Astra product page lists a no-date Miyota 9039 automatic movement, sapphire crystal, 316L stainless-steel case and bracelet, and 100 m water resistance. The listed price is $699. The page displayed the standard model as out of stock and described preorder shipping in September 2026; those availability details are specific to the page when checked, not the Stargazer.

Lorier support says the current Astra and Falcon share a case, movement and specifications, with dial design distinguishing the two current models. That information concerns the standard Astra and Falcon, not the Stargazer.

What changed around Lorier in 2026?
Worn & Wound announced on July 20, 2026 that it had acquired Lorier. The announcement said founders Lauren and Lorenzo Ortega would remain partial owners, with Lorenzo serving as creative director, and described operational support and production scaling as aims of the partnership. That later ownership change does not make the standard 2026 Astra the same watch as the earlier Stargazer collaboration.
For the current-model relaunch, Worn & Wound’s acquisition announcement provides the ownership details, while its coverage of the 2026 Astra relaunch reported a $699 price and preorders starting July 27, 2026. Lorier’s watch-dimensions support page and Astra/Falcon comparison refer to current models.
