What is the Unfrogettable?
It is a collaboration between Swiss watchmaker Louis Erard and Russian watchmaker and designer Konstantin Chaykin. The watch’s defining feature is its playful frog face, built around the dial’s time indications. Chaykin’s collaboration page says the character was inspired by a heroine of Russian folk tales: Konstantin Chaykin’s Unfrogettable page.

The frog design is the visual concept; the watch’s technical identity is a mechanical automatic regulator. The face does not change the way its movement keeps time.
How does its regulator display tell time?
Unlike a conventional watch dial, the Unfrogettable separates the hours, minutes, and seconds into distinct indications. The central hand shows minutes, the subdial at 9 o’clock shows hours, and the subdial at 3 o’clock shows seconds. Their eye-like placement gives the frog its expression while keeping each unit of time readable.

What colors are available, and how do they differ?
The original Green and Purple product pages establish two colorways. Louis Erard later documented Turquoise and Brown versions in its official article. The known differences are color and the resulting visual mood, not a published change to the regulator layout.

How much does it cost, and how many were made?
Louis Erard lists the Green and Purple versions at CHF 4,500 excluding tax and describes each as a limited edition of 178 pieces. The brand’s launch article also gives an edition size of 178 for Turquoise and Brown. That figure describes the stated edition size, not how many remain unsold or their resale value.
