The Louis Moinet Space Revolution pairs two spacecraft with opposing flying tourbillons, creating a display in which the models orbit and cross above a meteorite fragment. The eight-piece reference is LM-104.50.52, but the brand also lists separate unique Space Revolution variants, so specifications and meteorite origins should be tied to the specific example.
What is the Louis Moinet Space Revolution?
Space Revolution is a mechanical watch built around a kinetic display: two miniature spacecraft are mounted at the ends of two flying tourbillons and rotate in opposite directions beneath a sapphire dome. The design makes the tourbillons—and the spacecraft they carry—the main visual event rather than keeping them discreetly within a conventional dial.
GPHG records reference LM-104.50.52 as an eight-piece series launched in August 2020. Louis Moinet’s catalog also shows Space Revolution pieces described as unique variants. The name therefore covers more than the eight-watch reference; use the full reference when discussing the limited series.
How does the double-tourbillon display move?
According to Louis Moinet, the upper spacecraft completes a clockwise revolution every five minutes, while the lower one moves counter-clockwise and completes a revolution every ten minutes. The two flying tourbillons rotate at different speeds and heights; GPHG says their paths cross 18 times per hour.

What is LM-104.50.52 made from?
GPHG lists the eight-piece reference with a rose-gold-and-sapphire case, black aventurine dial, alligator strap and folding buckle. Its recorded dimensions and movement specifications are:
| Specification | GPHG record for LM-104.50.52 |
|---|---|
| Case diameter | 43.50 mm |
| Case thickness | 18.3 mm |
| Movement | Manual-winding mechanical |
| Functions | Hours and minutes |
| Power reserve | 48 hours |
| Frequency | 21,600 vibrations per hour |
| Water resistance | 10 m |
These are the specifications in GPHG’s record; they are not independent performance or water-resistance test results. The record gives the price as CHF 360,000 including VAT at launch in 2020. That historical figure is not evidence of a current retail price or resale value.
Why does each meteorite insert make the watch different?
A meteorite fragment sits beneath the central hands. GPHG describes different extraterrestrial materials among the eight examples, including lunar and Martian material, an ancient solar-system rock, and a fragment containing amino acids. Europa Star’s September 2020 launch coverage likewise describes each piece as having its own meteorite fragment.

- Adjustable silver-tone 20mm stainless steel expansion bands fits up to 8-inch wrist circumference

- Water resistant to 50m (165ft: in general, suitable for short periods of recreational swimming, but not diving or snorkeling
The origin is therefore variant-dependent, not a single material shared by every Space Revolution. Confirm the specific watch’s documentation before assigning an origin to its fragment. The distinction also matters when comparing LM-104.50.52 with one of the brand’s separate unique variants: the reference, case and dial configuration, and meteorite material may differ.

The documented price is the GPHG-listed launch price of CHF 360,000 including VAT. Current availability, dealer stock, resale listings, and a present-day asking price for LM-104.50.52 or the unique variants are not established by the cited records. Louis Moinet’s catalog listing identifies the models but does not confirm that any particular example is for sale.
What the specifications do—and do not—tell you
The published record describes a manual-winding movement, a 48-hour reserve, and a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour. It does not establish real-world accuracy, long-term reliability, comfort in wear, or water performance under independent testing. Those judgments require evidence from actual inspection and testing; the figures above should be read as recorded specifications.
