Louis Vuitton announced the Voyager Skeleton in April 2023 as a 150-piece platinum limited edition. Its defining feature is an automatic skeleton movement, Caliber LV 60, developed for the Voyager case and designed to show its mechanics while displaying only hours and minutes.
What the Voyager Skeleton is
The Voyager Skeleton is a time-only wristwatch in a platinum case, built around an openworked automatic mechanical movement. Louis Vuitton says Caliber LV 60 was designed and developed at La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton and conceived specifically for both the skeleton presentation and the Voyager case. The result is a watch whose visual emphasis is the movement rather than additional complications.
Louis Vuitton’s verified video describes it as the Maison’s first automatic time-only skeleton movement. It draws attention to the visible barrel bearing an LV initial and the off-center micro-rotor, whose placement leaves more of the mechanism on view.

Reference, straps and limited production
Hodinkee identifies the watch as reference Q7EN1K and reports that it was supplied with two navy straps: one in alligator leather and one in taurillon leather. Louis Vuitton announced a production run of 150 platinum examples. Its Japanese release said the edition was sold out as of April 2023; that is a dated launch-era statement, not confirmation of current availability.
Launch prices and availability context
Louis Vuitton Japan listed a launch price of ¥7,392,000 including tax in its April 13, 2023 release. Hodinkee reported a US launch price of US$55,000. These are historical, market-specific launch prices, not current offers. The sources establish neither present-day inventory nor resale pricing.

Why the movement is central to the design
Skeleton watches make the movement part of the visible design, but the Voyager Skeleton’s construction is presented as purpose-built rather than simply an ordinary movement with material removed. Louis Vuitton says the LV 60 was conceived around the Voyager case and skeleton display. Its off-center micro-rotor and exposed barrel help make the automatic winding system and movement architecture visible while keeping the stated display to hours and minutes.
For a comparison with another skeleton watch, the most useful points are case material and dimensions, movement architecture and winding system, displayed functions, edition size, water resistance, and dated regional launch price. The published facts here do not establish a complete competitor ranking or support a claim that the Voyager Skeleton is the most technically advanced in its class.
