What does MIL-SPEC mean on this watch?
Luminox says the 3350 Series is built against the performance specification MIL-PRF-46374G. Its product sheet describes the watch as developed and built in compliance with the technical requirements of MIL-SPEC, MIL-PRF-46374G Type III Class 1. These are the manufacturer’s claims about the design and specification. The cited material does not establish independent certification, military procurement, government issue or US Department of Defense endorsement.

How accurate is the ETA F06.412 movement?
Luminox lists an accuracy of ±10 seconds per year under ideal conditions. Its Canadian product information qualifies the claim as applying to normal wear without strong shocks or sudden, large temperature changes, and within a temperature range of 20–30°C; other temperatures may affect accuracy. Treat this as the maker’s conditional specification, not a measured result for an individual watch or a guarantee of the accuracy you will see in use.
Luminox also describes two movement features: HeavyDrive provides a counter-impulse intended to help prevent the hands from skipping accidentally under shock, while PreciDrive uses temperature compensation. Those are the manufacturer’s stated functions; the available product material does not independently verify their real-world results.

How long does the battery last?
Luminox Japan published an 84-month battery life—about seven years—for the 3350 Series in 2023. It is a manufacturer figure, not a guarantee for every watch or pattern of use. Battery life in an individual watch may differ.
Is the 46 mm case a good fit?
At 46 mm across and 14 mm thick, the XL.3351.1.SET has substantial dimensions. Its listed weight changes from 90 g on the rubber strap to 77 g on the webbing strap. Those figures help describe the watch, but they cannot establish whether it will feel comfortable on a particular wrist. If fit matters, try the watch on or compare its dimensions with one you already wear.

- Luminox genuine replacement watch band with black steel buckle
- Fits all watches series 3000, 3900
- Material: Velcro
- Color: Black
- Width: 27mm
The included 24 mm strap options give you a choice between rubber and camo webbing, and Luminox includes a changing tool. If considering a replacement, verify compatibility with this exact reference: a nominal 24 mm width alone does not confirm that every strap will fit the case or its attachment system.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What stands out—and what remains unproven?
- Specified for demanding water use: Luminox states 300 m water resistance and says each watch is individually tested according to the product page.
- Material choices: The listing pairs a CARBONOX+ case with a titanium rotating bezel, sapphire crystal and steel screw-down crown.
- Useful set contents: Two strap styles and a changing tool are included with the exact .SET reference.
- Large dimensions: A 46 mm diameter and 14 mm thickness will not suit every wrist or preference.
- Claims are not independent test results: The available information does not establish hands-on comfort, bezel feel, dial legibility, long-term durability or real-world timekeeping accuracy.
Is the Luminox 3350 Series MIL-SPEC worth buying?
The XL.3351.1.SET is worth considering if you specifically want a large quartz watch with a 300 m stated water-resistance rating, sapphire crystal, CARBONOX+ case, titanium bezel and two included straps. Luminox’s MIL-PRF-46374G language may matter to buyers comparing its stated design requirements, but it should not be mistaken for proof of government issue or independent validation. At the $995 shown on the US page on October 8, 2026, the value judgment depends on whether those features and the set justify the price for you. The published specifications alone cannot settle questions of comfort, durability or performance in everyday use.
