La Joux-Perret is not becoming wholly owned by LVMH: it is to remain independent, keep serving existing and future clients, and continue within Citizen Group’s portfolio.
What LVMH and La Joux-Perret announced
The deal combines an equity investment with a commercial relationship intended to give LVMH’s watchmaking Maisons access to additional production and innovation capabilities. The Swiss watch industry federation’s announcement was dated November 28, 2025; Reuters reported the announcement on November 12. Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry announcement; Reuters report.
The public accounts describe a minority stake, not a transfer of control. The Federation says La Joux-Perret will remain fully independent and continue serving its current and future clientele; Citizen Group, its owner, will continue operating its portfolio brands independently. Neither the Federation announcement nor Reuters’ report specifies the stake’s percentage, the transaction price, or a quantified production target.
What the partnership means for watches
The investment formalizes work already underway. TAG Heuer has collaborated with La Joux-Perret since 2022 on a solar quartz movement. The Federation says that movement features in TAG Heuer’s Aquaracer and Formula 1 collections. This is a collection-level identification, not evidence that every watch in either collection uses it.

Why LVMH is investing in a movement supplier
The stated industrial purpose is to strengthen production and innovation capabilities for LVMH’s watchmaking Maisons while deepening the group’s ties to Swiss watchmaking. The Federation describes the transaction as part of a longer-term plan to reinforce relationships with industrial partners and support LVMH’s investments in Switzerland. It said LVMH had 16 Swiss manufactures at the time of the November 2025 announcement.
