MAEN lists the case at 37 mm across, 9.3 mm thick, and 47 mm lug to lug. Whether it is a “great price” depends on the exact variant and movement grade—and whether its shape works for your wrist.
What the MAEN Manhattan 37 is
The Manhattan 37 is an automatic steel watch built around an integrated bracelet and a vertically elongated octagonal bezel. Its dial has vertically oriented Côtes de Genève finishing. MAEN’s collection page lists midnight blue, ice grey, anthracite black, and copper/salmon dial options, with date and no-date versions; not every combination is necessarily available at a given time.
For the automatic model, MAEN specifies a La Joux-Perret G100 Swiss-made movement, approximately 65 hours of power reserve, central seconds, and a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. The case and bracelet are 316L steel, and the stated water resistance is 10 ATM. These are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent test results. See MAEN’s Manhattan 37 collection and specifications.
Does the 37 mm case fit a smaller wrist?
The numbers look compact, but diameter alone does not determine how an integrated-bracelet watch wears. MAEN gives the Manhattan 37 a 47 mm lug-to-lug measurement and describes its case and bracelet design as having a larger visual footprint. The integrated end links and case shape matter alongside the 37 mm diameter.

- 31mm x 39mm Rectangle 316L Stainless Steel Case, White Dial with Exhibition Case Back
- Date and Moon Phase
- Screw Down Crown
- Water Resistant to 100 Meters/10ATM
- Swiss Made Automatic, Date and Moon Phase, ETA 2685
- Compare the 47 mm lug-to-lug length with a watch you already find comfortable.
- Consider the 9.3 mm case thickness as well as how the watch’s shape sits on your wrist.
- Look at the bracelet’s articulation and fixed integrated end-link geometry; a compact diameter does not guarantee a compact-looking fit.
If possible, try the watch on or confirm the fit and return terms before ordering. MAEN’s published dimensions provide a useful starting point, not a guarantee that it will suit every wrist.
What does it cost, and is it a good value?
On October 8, 2026, MAEN’s US collection page displayed some standard variants at $946. The product page for the M2.1.7 showed $947 for Standard Grade and $1,421 for Top Grade La Joux-Perret G100. These are dated, variant-specific page snapshots rather than a universal or guaranteed current price. Check the live listing for your chosen dial, date option, movement grade, currency, taxes, shipping, and stock status. The relevant pages are MAEN’s collection listing and M2.1.7 product listing.
The value proposition is strongest if you prioritize the integrated-bracelet design, steel construction, sapphire crystal, automatic movement, and the dial finishing at the price shown for your exact version. The higher-priced Top Grade option creates a meaningful price step; compare the grade descriptions and terms on the listing rather than assuming that the more expensive option is necessary for your needs.
Rank #2
- Refined Dial Presence: The genuine mother of pearl dial gives every watch a unique shimmer, while the numeral layout adds distinctive character. The result is a dress watch for men that feels refined yet easy to wear. Available in white or salmon pink with a 90S5 automatic movement.
- Comfortable Daily Wear: The thin 10.1mm profile and balanced 46.5mm lug-to-lug sit flat on the wrist for a neater fit. That means more comfort under a cuff and less bulk through the day. Built with 316L stainless steel and a solid bracelet for daily wear
- Scratch-Resistant Clarity: Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating improves clarity and helps resist scratches, easier to read indoors, outdoors, and under office lighting. Finished with a brushed stainless steel bezel, it delivers the polished feel expected from a classic men's dress watch.
- Ready for Daily Use: A screw-down crown and screw-down case back improve sealing, while 100M water resistance adds practical protection for rain, hand washing, and weekend wear
- Premium Japanese Movement: The 90S5 high-beat automatic movement brings smooth timekeeping and the charm of mechanical wear, giving this self-winding watch a more elevated feel than basic fashion watches. No battery changes are needed with regular wear, and the clean no-date style keeps the dial balanced for a timeless men's automatic watch that works for office, travel, and daily rotation
MAEN’s collection page reproduces praise from Time and Tide Watches describing the watch as a particularly strong combination of looks, feel, and specifications for its value. That is the publication’s opinion, repeated by the manufacturer, not independent proof that the Manhattan 37 is objectively the best-priced option in its category.
Check availability and ownership details before ordering
When accessed on October 8, 2026, the M2.1.7 page showed the Standard Grade option in production and estimated shipping around the end of January 2027. That estimate can change and is not a delivery promise. Confirm the listing’s current stock or production status before purchase.
Also check the price after taxes and shipping, the warranty and service terms, and the bracelet or strap options for the exact reference. The M2.1.7 listing offers a black integrated FKM strap as an optional extra. Because the attachment is integrated, do not assume a generic 22 mm strap will fit based on bracelet taper measurements; confirm compatibility with MAEN.

Manhattan 37 automatic or Manhattan 37 Ultra-Thin?
The Ultra-Thin is a separate model, not simply a thinner automatic variant. Monochrome Watches’ 2025 hands-on coverage describes it as a 7.1 mm hand-wound model with no date and small seconds at six. The automatic Manhattan 37 instead uses the G100, has central seconds, and comes in date and no-date versions according to MAEN’s collection page.
| Feature | Manhattan 37 automatic | Manhattan 37 Ultra-Thin |
|---|---|---|
| Winding | Automatic, with La Joux-Perret G100 listed by MAEN | Hand-wound, according to Monochrome Watches’ 2025 coverage |
| Thickness | 9.3 mm, listed by MAEN | 7.1 mm, reported by Monochrome Watches in 2025 |
| Seconds display | Central seconds, listed by MAEN | Small seconds at six, according to Monochrome Watches’ 2025 coverage |
| Date | Date and no-date versions listed by MAEN | No date, according to Monochrome Watches’ 2025 coverage |
| Price comparison | Variant-specific US listing snapshots appear above | Not stated in the cited sources for a like-for-like current comparison |
Choose based on whether you want automatic winding and central seconds or prefer a thinner hand-wound watch with small seconds. The models differ in movement, display, and thickness, so compare the exact references rather than treating them as interchangeable. For the Ultra-Thin distinction, see Monochrome Watches’ 2025 hands-on article.
