The LIV P-51 is a large titanium pilot-style automatic chronograph built around the ETA 7750. A 2020 review praised its spec sheet and considered its A$1,931 price competitive at the time; that price and comparison are historical, not current shopping guidance. LIV’s currently surfaced Man O’ War listing is a different-sized variant, shown at $2,100 USD and marked sold out.
What the 2020 review says about the P-51
Fergus Nash’s 2020 Time+Tide “Micro Mondays” review describes a deliberately oversized pilot-style chronograph. Its appeal was the combination of a titanium case, automatic chronograph movement and aviation-inspired design, rather than a restrained or especially compact profile.
The reviewed watch measured 46 mm across and 15.9 mm thick. Nash noted that its short, straight lugs helped it sit more manageably than the diameter alone might suggest, but the watch was still bold on the wrist. Case diameter is only part of fit: lug-to-lug length, wrist shape and personal preference matter too. The review does not provide a lug-to-lug measurement.
The article reported 100 m water resistance, a screw-down crown, an anti-reflective-coated crystal and a sapphire exhibition caseback. Its bezel was described as ceramic, with 120 clicks. BGW9 luminous hands and indices provided low-light visibility. These details belong to the version reviewed in 2020 and should not be assumed to apply unchanged to every P-51 variant.

Movement and timing
The P-51 uses the ETA 7750 automatic chronograph movement. LIV’s current surfaced product listing specifies a 25-jewel day/date version with a 12-hour chronograph and a 42+ hour power reserve. The 2020 review also identifies the ETA 7750 and reports that the movement in its reviewed watch had been regulated to +/- 4 seconds per day; that is a report about that watch, not a guarantee for every example.
LIV’s product page states: “We certify and guarantee that your LIV timepiece will be accurate +/- five seconds per day, which in watchmaking terms means absolutely perfect timing.” That is the brand’s stated accuracy guarantee. Prospective buyers should confirm its terms and applicability to the specific watch and purchase.

Specifications depend on the P-51 variant
The current official listing surfaced for the Man O’ War variant gives smaller case dimensions than the P-51 in the 2020 review. They are separate sets of specifications, not a single consistent measurement for every watch carrying the P-51 name.
| Specification | 2020 P-51 reviewed by Time+Tide | Current surfaced LIV Man O’ War listing |
|---|---|---|
| Case diameter | 46 mm (Time+Tide, 2020) | 42.8 mm (LIV listing, accessed 2026) |
| Case thickness / height | 15.9 mm (Time+Tide, 2020) | 15.0 mm height (LIV listing, accessed 2026) |
| Height with lugs | not stated (Time+Tide, 2020) | 50 mm (LIV listing, accessed 2026) |
| Lug width | not stated (Time+Tide, 2020) | 22 mm (LIV listing, accessed 2026) |
| Weight | not stated (Time+Tide, 2020) | 91 g (LIV listing, accessed 2026) |
| Stated wrist fit | not stated (Time+Tide, 2020) | 6.25–9.25 inches (LIV listing, accessed 2026) |
| Water resistance | 100 m (Time+Tide, 2020) | not stated (LIV listing, accessed 2026) |
The Man O’ War listing’s 50 mm height with lugs is useful when estimating how much of the wrist the watch spans. LIV also states a wrist-fit range of 6.25–9.25 inches for that listing; it is a brand-stated guide, not a substitute for trying a particular case shape on your own wrist. The listing does not state water resistance, so the 100 m figure reported for the 2020 review should not be transferred to it without confirmation.

Was the P-51 competitively priced?
Time+Tide gave the reviewed watch a price of A$1,931 in 2020. The article compared it with automatic chronographs from Tissot and Hamilton and with second-hand Longines watches. That is useful period context for how the review framed the value proposition, but it is not a current comparison: the price is in Australian dollars and dates from 2020, while current model prices and availability for those alternatives are not established here.
LIV’s official listing surfaced at $2,100 USD in 2026, but it is marked sold out. That figure is the listing price shown by the brand, not a verified in-stock offer or completed transaction price. Because the currencies, dates and watch variants differ, it is not directly comparable with the 2020 A$1,931 price.

What to check before considering one
- Confirm the exact P-51 variant and use its own case dimensions; the reviewed 46 mm watch and surfaced 42.8 mm Man O’ War listing are not dimensionally identical.
- Check case height and lug-to-lug length as well as diameter. The surfaced listing gives a 50 mm height with lugs, while the 2020 review does not state that measurement.
- Verify the specification that matters to you—especially water resistance, movement details and included strap—against the specific listing or seller documentation.
- Check current stock, price and warranty terms directly with LIV or an authorized seller. The surfaced official listing is sold out.
